Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid took another swing at Sen. David Vitter on Tuesday over the Republicans relentless push to ban Obamacare subsidies for lawmakers and their aides.
Vitter, whose name is floated as a potential candidate for Louisiana governor in 2015, plans to file an amendment to the government funding measure that would block the federal health-care assistance to Hill lawmakers and staffers, as well as to the president and administration appointees.
Reid jabbed at Vitters latest effort and his gubernatorial ambitions in a news conference with reporters on Tuesday.
He can keep pushing this, Reid said. Maybe itll help him get elected governor, which in my mind, wouldnt be a bad deal, if you know what I mean.
The Nevada Democrat said were not afraid to vote on his amendment debate over which recently blocked the Senate from working on an unrelated energy efficiency bill.
A Senate Democratic leadership aide has said it is unlikely that Vitters amendment to the government funding bill will get a vote. But House Republicans could attach a similar measure once they receive the continuing resolution back from the Senate, likely at the end of this week.
On Tuesday, Reid warned against any further changes to the continuing resolution in the House once the Senate passes it.
The House is talking about changing it again, Reid said. That is a sure-fire way to shut down the government.
Because handouts to politicians is a huge winning issue.
lol
Attack the motives; never discuss the issues. Typical commie propaganda. The evening news did the same thing to Cruz. NBC talked over the video.
I don’t think they should pull staffer’s FEHB. They should insure the employee only and leave spouses and kids out. That will show those people the biggest eligibility screw up in the law.
I’m really beginning to loathe Nevadans. Seriously what were you guys thinking???????? You can excuse/expect a liberal wasteland like San Francisco for giving us a bowel movement like Pelosi, but Reid? Nevada? c’mon people WTF??
harry... you rat bastard... you are trying to be GOD.
Reid is a little coward slimeball. That’s all he has ever been.
Anyone remember the movie Psycho? The movie that made an entire generation nervous about pulling the shower curtain?
Reid is a dead ringer for the “mother” in that movie, when the psychopath would dress as his own mother.

Nevada (mostly LV) is full of immigrant low-info voters and union vermin. Like most similar states, one or two major cities can dominate the elections, not just in numbers, but the cities tend to have more vote fraud than small towns and rural areas.
Harry Reid....poster boy for stroke damage
I remember the sniffling little coward while living in LV in the 80’s. He hasn’t changed a bit.
What happened was that the GOP was stupid enough to nominate a nutjob fresh off of two losses to run against Reid. A ficus plant could’ve beaten Reid, but Sharron Angle was the only politician in the state of Nevada even MORE unpopular than Reid.
Las Vegas skews the whole state: Service Employees International Union at the hotels. And then there’s the California transplants—who then turn around and vote the same way in Nevada. the rest of the state is mainly conservative: miners, ranchers, cowboys and some wealth at Tahoe but it’s sparsely populated other than Vegas and Reno.
I am a guy named David who is thinking about running against a guy named Dave.
Recalling Reid being upset about Obama running for president when he was a Senator. Oh wait, no, I was mistaken.

“Dave’s not here ...”
