Sarah Palin pushes 3rd party of ‘good guys’
The Politico ^ | September 24, 2013 | Jose DelReal

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is stepping up her rhetoric against the “Republican establishment,” who she believes has turned its back on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), commenting that there may already be a third party in American politics.

“I dare say we already have a third party. We have the liberal party, the GOP machine, and then we’ve got the good guys,” she told Neil Cavuto on Tuesday on Fox News, while Cruz was crossing the hour and a half mark of speaking on the Senate floor. “That is the third party. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Rand Paul … Those are the players in the party whom I will support.”

Palin was especially critical of Republican members of Congress who are not standing with Cruz as he speaks out against Obamacare on the Senate floor. She waved a white flag at the beginning of her segment with Cavuto to emphasize her point....

If ones enters my home the first they'll see is my Sarah Palin calendar.

I saw her on Hannity tonight and she had some nice zingers for Pelosi. She suggested Cruz could read the entire Obama care bill so that Pelosi could finally find out whats in it.

Take over the RNC with conservatives and libertarians.

I’m all done with the GOP as far as voting on strict party lines. RINOs and sellouts have destroyed the party. Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air and a huge step in the right direction.

Id gladly sign up for the “Good guys” party..because seeing how the GOP Establishment has been bashing Cruz and Palin, either we get rid of the RINOS or the GOP will never succeed. Hearing clowns like Rove and Schmidt run their traps, close your eyes and you’d swear your hearing a leftist talk, what’s scary is that they are supposed Republicans who are talking like Democrats do..at least with the Dems, they are supposed to hate Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz, but hearing that garbage from the GOP is truly sickening

So the RINOs within the offices of Republican National commitee are going to up and quit and let the Tea Party take over? Even the members on the RNC board are mostly establishments players. Even when the floor delegates opposed rule changes at the convention like last year they are ignored and the rules are passed without any objections. We already have one party running everything and that’s the Repub-Democrat alliance

A lot of us have said that.

Since the early 1970s.

And still the GOP is dominated by go along to get alongs, courtly cretins, and ordinary hustlers.

The rat party doesn’t even deserve criticism. They’re beneath it.

Palin is right, but everyone is afraid....because why? We might not reelect...John cornyn?

He can run on the silver haired patrician ticket for courtly nostalgics. Should get at least 10 or 12 votes.

In the meantime, something resembling an authentic American party will rise up. Both of the old parties reflect out of date tendencies which very few people care about.

Time for something new.

If I were her, I could NOT stay out of this. Yes, family comes first, but she also knows the call of duty, and having let the cat out of the bag in this offhand way, all that’s left is to make it formal.

She doesn’t need to declare that she’s running for anything. Just come out and cut the ties with the RNC officially, and make a statement to the effect that “Unless the GOP is going to return to it’s roots and support traditional conservative values, we have no choice than to organize a new Party”.

When the buzz dies down (in about a week), take stock and see what public support looks like. I think that as soon as a viable alternative comes into existence, you will be amazed at the support it receives.

Hasn't worked yet.

Your argument is the same one that Medved, Rove, Hewitt and all of the other GOPe water carriers use to stave off any change in the republican party.

You probably advocate for voting for "the most conservative candidate that can win."

I'm done with the GOP.

I profess ignorance on how the officials in the RNC get in the RNC. I assume they are elected by members. if so, can’t the RNC be taken over by conservative and libertarian members? Then vote out the leadership?

If someone knows, enlighten me please.

It would be fine by me. Five years of seeing the GOP-E backstab Palin and then the Tea Party base, and I no longer have any use for the Republican Party. No trust, no faith, no respect in the GOP anymore. The treatment given Palin, in particular, was the nail in the coffin.

Used to go down my ballot voting for each and every Republican. Did so my entire voting life. Until last year. Now I reserve my vote ONLY for 100% solid tea-party candidates. Otherwise, I leave the ballot blank.

We have a winner in the "keep the sheep in the pen" propaganda effort.

More and more of us are tired of maintaining support for a weakling political party that continues to try and scare us in line, and takes advantage of our support.

Piss off, GOP.

The Rep party already have a national structure. A new party wouldn't have squat, so how will a new 3rd party get it's candidates out?
Takes time to build a structure.

I look at libertarians as a prime example. They do have a national structure, but how many folks do they have in the house or senate? Zip, zero, niente.

3rd party isn't the answer, we need a coup in the RNC

Time has been wasting.

Since Cruz actually ran, he kicked the Bush machine to the curb, whipped the richly funded Dewhurst, against the NRC, plenty of dirty tricks and won.

He sits now blowing the doors off of two houses of Congress, taking down RINOS, and lighting with matches a Republican do-nothing agenda.

So, yes, where he goes, I go. This man is a proven winner wherever he serves.

Yes I do advocate that. You can be done with the GOP all you want chief, but that isn't going to elect a 3rd party conservative candidate.

I will say that after the shameful treatment of Cruz over these past weeks, I find myself unsure of where to leap.

I am officially disenfranchised.

Here’s out it plays out:

Announce a new party with new leadership: “Tea Party” or “Freedom Party”; and start ballot signature gathering, election organizing, new party caucus.

Sit back and watch the RNC go into shock as tens upon tens of millions of republicans sign with the new party.

In effect, the GOP becomes a shallow hull after they attempt to woo the party former faithfuls back under their wing. But they have lost substantial credibility and resign to the fact that they are not able to attract support.

When they see they are dead, they surrender.

Then the new party takes over the leadership of the republican party. Perhaps they keep the old name or perhaps not.

The fact of the matter is the GOP is run by ruling class democrat copycats. Those that run the GOP must be ousted, purged and replaced with true conservatives.

Hate to out you as being wrong skippy, but I voted Cruz when the establishment candidate was David Dewhurst.

My tendency will be to vote the TEA party candidate.

You assume to much, and you know what the old saying is about “ass uming”

As I stated in a previous reply, I’m going to have a hard time voting for a Republican after the BS that has gone on these past weeks with Cruz. I really don’t know where to turn. A RINO is as bad as a Dem, but a Dem will vote lock step with another Dem president. I’m at a loss

The Republican Party ceased to be a vehicle for conservatism a long time ago. Their only principle is to have no principles; their only strategy is preemptive surrender; their only plan for victory is to tick off their base as much as possible.

The Republican Party was formed to replace the Whigs. They did such a good job of it that they became the Whigs, unable to take a stand on any critical issue.

With Democrats in charge, it’s as if you’re in a car driving off a cliff at 100 MPH. At least Republicans drive the speed limit — but you’re still going off the cliff. What we need is to turn the car around.

The Republicans’ time is almost up. Here comes the Freedom Party!

OK, I can see that. But maybe 10’s of thousands of those folks end up in with the libertarians or the natural law party. Then what do you have? a weak and diluted voting block.
I see all scenarios as a win win for Dems.

Well the GOP didn’t make the magic in the 2010 midterms. That was us tea partiers. We scare the living hell out of them. I’ve seen the looks and the whisperings when I would volunteer at GOP stuff. There is one party in D.C., THEM and then there are the rest of us. As Leona Helmsley said” the little people.” We just have to learn what Bam Bam’s chicken neck geeks know, how to cook twitter follower numbers, etc., I’m working on some things myself. I have been going to a few things, kinda sneaky like opposition research. I changed my hair. They had no clue who I was. What I notice they have going for them is venom but it is spent quickly. Just like Bill Ayers says you gotta infiltrate.

Well gotta start somewhere and its quite fun to pretend with opposition. They are quite easily thrown off balance I find. They are interesting to study, I notice a lot of attention deficit. You know us women. We are totally devious. First thing I do is much like what Cruz was saying about LBJ. Get with one group and say I agree with you, get with another and say I agree you. Key for me is find them out. They are so willing to tell you all about themselves. After that its easy.

My assumptions stemmed from the fact that you said you would advocate for voting for the candidate that was deemed, by the media and the GOPe, as the most conservative one that could win. That strategy has gotten us two bushes, a dole, a mccain, and a romney...none of whom were actually conservative.

Now, if I misunderstood your advocacy, or you misunderstood my position against the GOPe, then we're butting heads for nothing.

If, however, you are actually a die-hard GOP water carrier, and will vote for whomever they tell you that they've deemed "can win", then I have no respect for you.
