On Wednesday, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, said he would "push" for more gun control if he is elected governor in a debate with Republican Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.
McAuliffe invoked the Washington Navy Yard, Aurora, and Newtown tragedies and asked, "How many people have to be killed until we wake up to have sensible gun ownership?"
He said he was "dismayed with United States Senate this year" for not bringing up a bill which was co-sponsored by Sens. Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) that would have mandated universal background checks.
"As governor, I'm going to push," McAuliffe said. "We need universal background checks for everyone to keep our loved ones safe."

Liberals from Maryland and the Northeast have infested the state and are trying to turn it blue. VA is one of two key states (TX being the other) that liberals have trained their sites on. I wouldn't be surprised if McAuliffe wins due to vote fraud.
That will fly with the invaders from Maryland living in NoVa. They voted their state into an unlivable people’s republic, and then moved to Virginia because the MD taxes are, surprise, sky high, as high as the crime rate in PG County. Now they have started to work their “magic” on Virginia. And are well on their way toward ruining it. Exhibit A: the slimeball U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly. Exhibit B: local government in Alexandria and Arlington, Arlington being marginally worse; Fairfax County taxes are an outrage. Exhibit C: the Saudi Islamic Academy. Exhibit D: Arlandia, which has been entirely invaded, colonized and taken over by the worst dregs of Central America, who never seem to be short of guns themselves. It is no longer American in any way, shape or form except for the benefits they all absorb like mother’s milk. Yes, the people of NoVA will lap it up. Am I bitter? Yes.

That’s a good question...right along with asking why you are fighting against sensible gun ownership and establishing gun-free slaughter zones.
With 20,000 gun laws on the books, why does this ahole McAuliffe think another law would make a difference?
Bloomturd is funneling major dollars to merry Terry, so McAuliffe has to toe his gun grabber master’s line of BS.
I guess I just answered my own question.
If the GOP doesn’t run ads in Virginia laying into this rat toad on the Second Amendment issue, then the GOP is even more stupid than I thought.
Obama won by 150,000 votes.
I think it happened already.
If the citizens of VA vote for this fool, they deserve everything they get.
I watched the debate at the gym tonight and followed it on twitter. Cucinelli seemed to do well. Lots of Women for Ken outside doing a sign wave. According to their facebook post, they outnumbered the Dems 4-1.
I will disown my home state if they elect McAuliffe.
the writing is on the wall and it couldn’t be any more clear, if you come after the guns, you get your ass handed to you. especially in a state that has a long tradition of firearms ownership. Yet here he is, promising to go after the guns. Well, OK. Go for it dummy.
Not yet he hasn’t. But he will.

Wow! Just like they’ve already done here in California. Pelosi is from Maryland. Her father was mayor of Baltimore before he went to jail. The family name was D’Alessandro.
I thought Saul Alinsky directed that the Marxist radicals should not say what they intended to do.
Virginia requires ID to vote and outside of some districts voting 100% for Obama and some issue with College Students, Virginia pretty much has it under control. This is an off-year election so it is pretty much who gets the most voters out. Tim Kaine did win a Governorship in Virginia, but he did it against a very moderate Republican and he did not mention anything about Gun Control in the run-up.
Abortion looks to be Cuccinelli’s weak point, they have been hammering him on this. If the Evangelicals don’t show up for him, you will not see anymore Virginia statewide candidates openly talking about it. Part of the reason Bob McDonnell has no future is last year’s General Assembly Abortion fight.
I watched that debate tonight and Cuccinelli wiped the floor with McAuliffe. mcAuliffe stayed with three or four talking points and repeated them often. Cuccinelli, by contrast, gave serious and substantive answers.
Sadly, with women voters demanding a right to a dead baby, they’re hard into McAuliffe’s camp.
