The terrorist attack at a shopping mall in Kenya is prompting increased security at the Mall of America. The facility sent out a statement stating..."Mall of America continues to monitor the tragic events unfolding in Kenya with the help of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
We are deeply saddened by the events and our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected.
Mall of America has implemented extra security precautions, some may be noticeable to guests, and others won't be.
We will continue to follow the situation, along with law enforcement, and will remain vigilant as we always do in similar situations.
The safety and security of our guests, employees and tenants remains our top priority."
While the River Hills Mall in Mankato did not want to comment on their security procedures, they did say they have taken additional steps in light of the attack in Kenya.
...naturally, Somalis will be exempt from additional MofA security measures.
I recall driving by the large construction site that was to become the Mall of America back in the late 1980s or early 1990’s. I never imagined it would need such security.
Makes sense, the Cities are overrun by Somalis. Of course Mall security will be on the lookout for Tea Partiers..
They need to start with a complete inspection of every square foot — especially “vacant” storefronts, and storage areas.
Malls in the Philippine Islands always have
heavy, armed security, starting at the doors.
Visible.
Not mall cops.
They don’t believe in a land of unicorns or that gun-free zones make you safer.
I knew there’d eventually be a reason for Mall Ninjas...
Mall Ninjas... isn’t that the name of a rock band?
They would strike at an outlet mall or subdivision that has access.
How many malls and strip centers are there in the United States?
If you want to play this for economic gain, consider shorting Simon Property Group (SPG).
They’re the big mall owner.
If the terrorists didn’t kill you, running from one exit to another in the MoA will.
I’ve been to the MoA. Too much humanity under one roof.
When they figure it out. Beware.
So did the Kenyan mall.
If my mall prohibits concealed carry, goodbye mall.
Because, sad to say, if the answer is no, then whatever else you do won't matter much.
Oh, and for what it's worth, I'd like to ask that same question to those in charge of federal facilities. Going forward, will trained officers have quick access to rifles?
By 'Mall Ninja', I mean this:
I don’t shop at gun free malls. Here are malls to avoid: http://www.2acheck.com/boycott-simon-malls/
I use catalog sales and shop on line.
Maybe the open carry club there should patrol the mall.
Ive been to the MoA. Too much humanity under one roof.
