Obama accuses GOP of Obamacare 'blackmail' By: Jonathan Allen September 26, 2013 12:00 PM EDT
President Barack Obama accused Republicans of trying to blackmail a president by threatening to shut down the government or default on the nations debt if he doesnt agree to block implementation of Obamacare.
Were not going to submit to this type of total irresponsibility, Obama said in remarks at a community college just outside Washington. I will not negotiate on anything when it comes to the full faith and credit of the United States of America.
He later added: All this would be funny if it wasnt so crazy. The tea party Republicans have taken it to a whole new level because theyre threatening to shut down the government or shut down the entire economy unless I agree to gut a law that will help millions of people.
But there was more bad news for Obamacare trickling out even as Obama wrapped up his remarks: POLITICO Pro reported that the administration will delay online enrollment in some of the small business exchanges that are due to open on Oct. 1. Small businesses will still be able to submit a paper application starting next Tuesday they just wont be able to enroll online.
Obama opened with partisan riffs on fear-mongering and the antics going on in Congress, and he spent long minutes berating his Republican critics. But for the most part, he focused on an in-the-weeds discourse of how consumers can enroll, starting Oct. 1, in new health care exchanges that will begin providing benefits in January.

Shouldn’t that be “mail of color”?
If the shoe fits...
But, they’re on HIS side.
Geeze they try and try and try but they just can’t get him to like them.
Shouldn’t it be “whitemail”?
Hey Obama, if Obamacare is THAT GREAT.....YOU FIRST, Buddy!!
If Obama is NOT on Obamacare.....MARCH TIME!!
Obama using the word blackmail - “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
Ted Cruz should take to the Senate floor, state “guilty as charged” and the read Federalist 58 into the record.
Yes, the GOP, which controls the House, is using the powers of the house just as the framers intended.
Hmmm... the rhetoric is increasing. Could the Tea Party be gaining traction here?
Please. When has Obama ever negotiated with the GOP? He always gets what he wants.
“Were not going to submit to this type of total irresponsibility,”
shattered grammar aside....that means NOTHING..Barry you pitiful pig headed Mohammadummie!!
MAKE DC LISTEN: TELL YOUR SENATORS TO OPPOSE CLOTURE ON H.J. RES 59
We must oppose cloture on H. J. Res. 59, so that Harry Reid and Senate Democrats cannot sneak in funding for Obamacare. We need you to call your Senators right now: tell them to oppose cloture on H.J. Res 59 and remind them that a vote for cloture IS a for funding Obamacare.

Now that we have your attention, you sorry US Senators, keep in mind that we will replace you with those who will gladly correct your errors - - - .
So, scrub and clean by 2014 !
Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick
“Hmmm... the rhetoric is increasing. Could the Tea Party be gaining traction here?”
We are right at the point where the MSM will announce that people are leaving the Tea Party because they support Obamacare.
If I worked for Pravda, err... I mean the NY Times, that’s what I would say.
Answer: From fiction...The Emperor has no clothes. There is no Wizard in Oz. In the real world: Obama without a teleprompter.
But, but, - - - I thought that Obama was the Black Male?
Gee.. and Americans have been calling this stuff ‘politics’ for a couple centuries.... who knew!!
Extreme disasters require extreme measures to prevent them. Something as nation changing and destructive as Obamacare should never have been passed by a simple majority of partisan fanatics. Hold this insanity hostage, whatever it takes to kill it.
>> I will not negotiate on anything when it comes to the full faith and credit of the United States of America.
I tried Obamao’s cool tactic on *my* credit card company: “I’m a NO_LIMIT_INSECT and nothing is too good or too expensive for me and my posse! I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE on anything when it comes to Nervous Tick’s full faith and credit! Now raise my limit and reduce my interest rate to zero!”
They just laffed. Then they took away my card.
I wish they would stuff that clown in a box and mail him back to Africa.
“The tea party Republicans”
That’s a new one. As opposed to what? RINOs?
Obama wants to destroy the USA and by gum those filthy Tea party Republicans won’t let him do it! How evil of them!
Bamster sounds like a RINOCON GOP Senator....
Whitemail??? I think Obama used that on Chief Justice Roberts.
Not just him. One of my pet peeves, though. Shows such carelessness in use of language.
This from a guy who can turn the Supremes with blackmail, has the IRS targeting the opposing party and is spying on the people.
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising Americas debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government cant pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Governments reckless fiscal policies. Increasing Americas debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” - Senator Obama 2006
“President Barack Obama accused Republicans of trying to blackmail a president by threatening to shut down the government or default on the nations debt if he doesnt agree to block implementation of Obamacare.”
Someone tell this JA that we are not a dictatorship. We are designed to have checks and balances to ensure that an irresponsibile and/or oppressive President’s power is limited.
Someone tell this community organizer that HIS JOB is to submit a budget and work with the Legislative branch on an acceptable budget. He will NOT get everything he asks for, and he should expect an ongoing battle on funding socialized medical care. These CR’s are bandaids on a big wound called obamacare.
Figured out a new faster way to fix the US debt problem. Tell other countries that we will shutdown the US government, if they pay us some shutdown money. My guess is the vast majority of countries on the planet right now would prefer to have the US government shutdown. So we can accomplish two things. Slowly pay off the debt and get the US government off our backs.
Murkowski's office told me she was opposed to Obamacare. We will see....
