I called the Houston and DC offices of Cornyn today to relay by disgust at him.
Neither phone was answered or sent to voice mail
John Cornyn is saying “Nyet” to his constituents.
I say it is time to “Nyet” Cornyn.
I wrote Cornyn via his on-line form asking about his position on defunding and why he wasn’t supporting Cruz. Received an email back from him stating his position on immigration with the following disclaimer at the bottom:

If you have questions about the validity of this message, or would like to respond to this message, please use the web form available at my website, http://www.cornyn.senate.gov/contact.
So guess I’m supposed to assume that he did indeed respond to my question about defunding but, according to his disclaimer, he could not “guarantee that the text has not been altered”.
Too bad he doesn’t use some of this creative thinking to benefit his constituents.
I think I got one of those “pre-written” type answers once. It had nothing to do with what I had written.
As long as you’re here transparently stumping for a U.S. Senate candidate, I suggest you take the time to compose something appropriate for your FR profile page.
The more information, the better.
