Barilla: ‘Gays can eat someone else’s pasta’

Anger is boiling over at the chairman of the Barilla pasta company after he vowed to only feature heterosexual couples in commercials — and added that anyone offended by his anti-gay stance could buy a different brand of noodles.

Guido Barilla told Italian radio on Wednesday that he would never use a gay family to promote the world’s leading brand of pasta, according to The Guardian.

“For us the concept of the sacred family remains one of the basic values of the company,” Barilla said. ”I would not do it but not out of a lack of respect for homosexuals who have the right to do what they want without bothering others…[but] I don’t see things like they do and I think the family that we speak to is a classic family.”

We have used Barilla for years. They are so big and so well established I don’t think the gay lobby can lay a glove on them. A bigger worry is they are a European company and who knows what the ultra-PC apparatchiks at the EU might do.

Ten bucks says that soon they'll discover that they either change their policy or face bankruptcy.*That's* how far down the toilet Western civilization has sunk.

Guido is only exercising his 'right to choose' - good for him.

Well now they’ve gone and done it. They’ll suffer the same fate as Chik-Fil-A. If they’d just made the effort to be more homo-centric they could’ve been the JC Penney of pasta.

As long as this is free choice, I’m all for it.
The trouble is, the Obamanauts will work to outlaw Barilla at military bases, government cafeterias, etc...

Hope he suffers like Chick-Fil-A suffered (i.e., not at all).

Wow, a business that does not believe it has to fawn over 2-3 % of the market.

This will make it much easier to pick out pasta at the grocery now.

Well, now really, how hard was it before?

Barilla pasta is the absolute best on the market. Their sauces are also exceptional. Forget Ragu.
