During his 37 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrat Ed Markey built a reputation as a legislator concerned about the environment. And now as the junior U.S. senator from Massachusetts, he is set to become the new chair of the Senate Climate Change Clearinghouse.

Although the clearinghouse is an unofficial open forum for members of the Senate, it is the place where ideas for environmental legislation may take form. Markey, who had significant support from environmentalists in the special election to replace John Kerry, takes the duty along with co-chairs and Democratic senators Barbara Boxer of California and Ron Wyden of Oregon.

“I’m honored to join Senator Boxer and Senator Wyden in leading the Climate Change Clearinghouse. The dangers of climate change are clear," Markey said in a statement.

He should be arrested for fraud.

The Lear jet leftists expect to form the core of the global Green Inner Party. There they will continue to enjoy the finest foods and most advanced gadgets the world has to offer — while deciding your fate for you.

If you work very hard and show them your unwavering loyalty you may be permitted to join the global Green Outer Party. You will be allowed occasional servings of meat - and air conditioning on a rationed basis.

The rest of us will eat beans and swelter — for the good of the planet

Prior to becoming a congressman, he drove an ice cream truck.

Yeah, he’s qualified.

If they looked at the real data, this is what they would find.

Record low tornadoes
Record low hurricanes
Record gain in Arctic ice
Record Antarctic ice
Burn acreage well below normal
No change in the rate of sea level rise
No evidence of Greenland meltdown
No evidence of Antarctic meltdown
No warming for 17 years

From Real Science

The dangers of climate change are clear. The higher taxes you pay, the less clear the danger is.

Well, it shouldn't take him long to clear it out, since there isn't a damn thing mankind can do about it...even if we wanted to.

The only “smoke” pollution that Markey is blowing is “RED SMOKE”, and he is blowing up the American peoples’ ass.

(For history buffs, this is the name of a book by the late Pulitzer Prize winning writer Isaac Don Levine about the early Russian Revolution and its aftermath, which he witnessed first hand. Isaac also told me that it was the worst book he ever wrote).

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls our climates.

3. The earth is a rock.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
