CNS News is reporting that a group of 21 House members have sent a letter to all GOP Senators, warning them against a cloture vote on the Continuing Resolution. A vote on cloture would give Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) the ability to remove the defunding Obamacare provision included in the CR. The House conservatives who signed the letter stated that they consider a cloture vote the same as a vote in support of Obamacare. “it is highly likely that Majority Leader Harry Reid will move to amend the House-passed CR and remove the language from the bill that defunds Obamacare before sending it back to the House.
“As you are also aware,” the conservatives wrote, “such a motion can only proceed if three-fifths of the Senate invokes cloture and allows this amendment process to begin. Simply put, the only chance that Senator Reid has to pursue this course of action is if six or more Republican Senators join the Democrats in voting to invoke cloture.
“Therefore,” the House conservatives said to every Republican senator, “it shall be our policy to regard any cloture vote that gives Senator Reid a green light to reinstate Obamacare into this CR the same as a vote for Obamacare itself.”

Of course, a vote with Harry Reid for cloture will be a vote to fund ObamaCare, because he will be able to pass it with just 51 Democrat votes instead of having to get 60 votes, some of them from the GOP. That’s what Sen. Cruz repeatedly said in his 21 hour Seminar for the Stupid. Mark the names of Republican senators who vote with Reid and replace them in their next primary. They are not to be trusted and consider their voters back home to be gullible rubes.

You are correct and I ask myself....what is in it for them? Senator Blunt from Missouri is going to vote “Yes” on cloture. I have suggested to fellow Missourians to call Blunt’s office and let their voice be heard.
And this is precisely why you don’t vote for RINOs ever. Let them lose...at least then we know what we’re up against.
Any SENATOR that votes for cloture on the R side of the isle needs a Primary Challenge launched against them 1 minute after the vote.

Correct. Because Harry Reid already has an amendment filed which will be voted on after cloture which will strip the defunding language. And that will require only a majority (John McCain and Susan Collins will probably vote for it so their pals the democrats can say it was “bipartisan”)
Exactly. And you can hear the Senators saying that they have been good because they voted “for” being against Obamacare, but in fact, yes means Reid can amend it.
The anti-Obamacare rhetoric is providing smoke and mirrors for a vote that ultimately allows to fund it. Many people still don’t get it.
Amen. State legislatures should be selecting our Senators, NOT inner-city voters thru open primaries and massive fraud.
