Seymour Hersh has got some extreme ideas on how to fix journalism – close down the news bureaus of NBC and ABC, sack 90% of editors in publishing and get back to the fundamental job of journalists which, he says, is to be an outsider.

Job #1 — defund National Partisan Radio and the Partisan Broadcasting System; defund the so-called arts programs, which are just partisan shilling (and fifth column activity) at its worst.
Job #2 — mount challenges to station licenses at each and every opportunity.
Job #3 — Voter ID, term limits (including on the SCOTUS), and an amendment to rid us of the problem of treaties used to override the Constitution.
besides, we are a no to low information society...everything is a sound bite....
I can imagine pretty soon the govt will telecast directly into the numbskulls little phones..
heck, maybe directly into the little numbskulls skulls.....
Let me be the first to say my thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. Hersh after that tragic_______________(insert cause of death here) that he had next month.
Then there is the “reporter” vs. “journalist” dichotomy.
