The CEO of Starbucks wishes that the officer would have left his gun at home, though it is not prohibited.

Is robbery with a deadly weapon a misdemeanor in CA, if you don’t “hurt” anybody?

I ask a metro sgt I know here and said off duty metro/Henderson PD have full arrest authority in Clark county. When witnessing a felony they are required to render assistance, unlike civilians.
