ST. LOUIS One of three would-be robbers raised a pistol while his two friends pretended to hide guns under their clothes late Monday night at Forest Parks Grand Basin, police say.
Dont make me kill you, one of them told an off-duty St. Charles County sheriffs deputy after approaching him and his female jogging partner, authorities say.
The deputy announced he was a police officer and opened fire, killing Antonio Nash, 18, and wounding the two other men in what police say appeared to be a justifiable shooting.
The deputy, 36, and his friend, 23, were uninjured.
The two wounded men, Joshua Hunter and Jamaal Robinson, both 20 and of the 5600 block of Delmar Boulevard, were charged Tuesday with second-degree murder, attempted robbery, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.
Second-degree murder charges also known as felony murder can be filed against anyone committing a felony in which someone is killed.

Dunno if we have all the facts, but what we do have looks like the cop deserves an “attaboy” for pest control.
It appears justified until SHARPTON and JACKSON start stirrin up the pot.
I don’t know who Nash killed.
When my husband and I were dating this area of Forest Park was the “lovers lane”, and also a prime sledding spot in the winter. I never heard of anyone being robbed there.
Sometime after we left St Louis, gays took over Art Hill. Even in broad daylight, the road behind the Art Museum was parked full while trolling men met up in the woods.
Now St Louis is at the top of the most dangerous cities list. When I go to my hometown, I go armed.
I lived in stlew 88 to 92. Played handball in forest park 3 or 4 times a week. Allways got done before dark.
I lived dowtown across from the train station and worked at the old court house/arch complex. Interesting times there.
