Not all scientists are panicking about global warming — one of them finds the alarmism “hilarious.”
A top climate scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology lambasted a new report by the UN’s climate bureaucracy that blamed mankind as the main cause of global warming and whitewashed the fact that there has been a hiatus in warming for the last 15 years.
“I think that the latest IPCC report has truly sunk to level of hilarious incoherence,” Dr. Richard Lindzen told Climate Depot, a global warming skeptic news site. “They are proclaiming increased confidence in their models as the discrepancies between their models and observations increase.”
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change claimed it was 95 percent sure that global warming was mainly driven by human burning of fossil fuels that produce greenhouse gases. The I.P.C.C. also glossed over the fact that the Earth has not warmed in the past 15 years, arguing that the heat was absorbed by the ocean.
“Their excuse for the absence of warming over the past 17 years is that the heat is hiding in the deep ocean,” Lindzen added. “However, this is simply an admission that the models fail to simulate the exchanges of heat between the surface layers and the deeper oceans.”
“However, it is this heat transport that plays a major role in natural internal variability of climate, and the IPCC assertions that observed warming can be attributed to man depend crucially on their assertion that these models accurately simulate natural internal variability,” Lindzen continued. “Thus, they now, somewhat obscurely, admit that their crucial assumption was totally unjustified.”
Scientists have been struggling to explain the 15-year hiatus in global warming....

Perhaps the classic example of the abuse and misuse of a popular information resource. That sentence is a complete lie. The IPCC is a political intergovernmental body.
Most people don't know and don't care how the IPCC came about, and have no clue of its genesis. The briefest summary is:
Maurice Strong, who created the fake world crisis, which led to the Kyoto agreements, which in turn prompted the creation of the IPCC, ridden throughout its history with shoddy "science," contradictions, frauds, scandals, and misrepresentations masquerading as science...
People should look into all the items shown in bold above as thoroughly as possible to grasp the extent of the monumental scam.
Many of the ignorant supporters of Anthropogenic Global Warming were not even born when the scam began.
Let's start with the creator, often referred to as the shadowy "George Soros of environmentalism."
The subject of this thread, Dr. Richard Lindzen was, as I recall, a lead scientist author on a chapter of a previous IPCC report, and he knows, first hand, better than anyone, the scam the political IPCC has been promoting since 1988, behind the fake façade of "science."

The human generated heat is magically being transported to the deep oceans. So humans are guilty of warming the environment of the giant squid, apparently. Not only did these brain dead progressive scientists completely ignore the interaction of the deep sea and the shallow sea, they also still do ignore the contribution from undersea volcanic activity. What else can you expect from a bunch of apes ?
Because, shutup. You’re not one of those deniers are you?
I think the biggest thing people are missing is that while the temperature hasn’t increased the amount of cabon in the atmosphere has skyrocketed. That should completely disprove any link between carbon and climate change.

There is a special phenomenon, heretofore undetected, that allows heat to pass through the upper layers of the oceans without warming them. This effect means that the excess heat that would have shown up as global warming is now hiding in the ocean depths. The climate devastation that will result when this heat stops hiding is difficult to predict but, with enough grant money, we can come up with a good approximation of it. Trust us.
