The man’s Range Rover was surrounded by several bikers on the West Side Highway on Sunday. One biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire. But when the driver stopped, several bikers began to damage his SUV. Cops are investigating.
A pack of bikers pummeled a driver in upper Manhattan on Sunday, after a wild chase that began with a fender bender on the West Side Highway, cops said.
The brawl erupted after the victim — who was driving his wife and their young child — became surrounded by a swarm of motorcycles on the highway and accidentally hit one of the bikes near W. 125th St. about 2 p.m., police said.

In NYC? He'd be buried under the jail if he used a firearm to defend himself. Only the cops are allowed to shoot people in NYC (And apparently their allowed to shoot anyone they want)

I was set upon by a mob once. My own fault. The result of a series of really bad decisions on my part. But once the rocks started to fly, I transitioned from “I don’t want any trouble” to “I’m getting us the heck out of here” mode. I was fortunate in that I did not have to hurt anybody to extricate myself and the person I was with, more due to dumb luck than anything else. But once you get into a situation where your life is in danger, pretty much any use of force is on the table.
Getting off the highway was a mistake, here. The guy should have held the center lane and his speed. Giving up on mobility gave away his only advantage. Speed = Life. He should have stayed on that road until the calvary arrived or he ran out of gas.
PS. Never run out of gas. Fill your tank at a quarter.

Don’t you figure maybe he was the token black biker gangbanger in the otherwise all white biker thug gang? :-)
This story really has very little to do with bikers and a lot to do with the moral character of our society.
The article clearly does not contain the full story. The article says the bikers surrounded an SUV and then a “biker apparently cut the driver off and slammed on the brakes just before the SUV bumped his rear tire.”
But if you watch the video, it looks like the bikers are already chasing the SUV before the biker slammed on his brakes and got bumped.
Something happened before the video begins that started all of this.
That is what I was thinking. What the guy needed was a Mustang Mach III, nitro booster, and a sawed off shotgun.

if it was a guy with his family in a f250 (including 2.5 lift) it wouldn’t have ended well for the bikers.

Obviously the driver is racist because of “Stand in your car” laws.
The driver was justified to kill them all, by whatever means available.
That’s the way our society is leaning, mobs, with attitudes and looking for trouble.
It's not Harleys it's rice burners.
Just another reason why I carry a pistol, although after this I may start carrying something more heavy-duty. You never know when you might end up in an altercation with a mob of thugs.
