Josephine Ruckinger had been estranged from family members for about 20 years.

She burst back into their lives briefly with deadly consequences.

Ruckinger and her husband, Jeffrey, both 43, broke into an Ashville, Pennsylvania, home, where they shot and killed her mother and brother, before being killed by Ruckinger's father, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

A family in the next county was almost wiped out by the daughter’s druggie boyfriend who is now sentenced to life in prison for five murders. The daughter didn’t go in the house, apparently she just drove the car...

The whole bunch were using or selling drugs except for the neighbor across the street who was killed probably just because he stepped out side on hearing the shots.

So guessing the estranged daughter in today’s story is a druggie and wanted the family money.

Remind them of the gas can and fire initiators found in the aggressor’s car....

Are gun grabbers concerned with murder by arson?

Looks like hell below increased its population by two. What a dirty, heinous thing to do killing family members over money and things. Instead they both wind up in hell as their wicked reward. Satan turns his followers into eternal chumps.

So, is this killing blamed on Bush, sequestering, gun control or the impending government shutdown?

Did I miss any of the current regime’s boogeymen?

It is a damned good thing the father had a gun, otherwise there would have been two still living evil people and 3 dead people that St. peter would have to decide their eternal fates...

My first thought would be mental illness but the fact that the husband was involved leads me toward drugs and or money.

Yup the daughter bled her grandmother dry to support her and her boyfriend’s drug habit then wanted more and blamed her parents for “estranging her” even though she burned her own damned bridge.

I expect to see a documentary on Investigation Discovery Channel sometime soon. There is a series called, "Wicked Attraction".

My wife and I watch a lot of the various investigative shows on Discovery. It is quite telling about the nature of our fellow Americans, and their me mentality of I want it all, and I will do all I can to get. Even if it means I have to murder my family and friends to get it.

My brother refuses to work and relied on my mother for support. When she would mention that her money was getting low, he would become enraged.

When people get dependent they become re-attached at the teat...

When you are weaning a baby they get very damned fussy when they are denied a teat to suckle upon....

We have a LOT of adult babys living in this day and age!

He may choose to bury his daughter, but he doesn’t have to.

Poor man. Too bad the laws don't allow you to leave bodies out for the buzzards to feed off of. I wouldn't leave her and her husband to the taxpayers to bury but spend her inheritance to cremate them and scatter the ashes between the landfill and the sewer system.

There is more background information in an AP article about the same shooting:

A relative, Virginia Cruse, said the daughter and mother did not get along, but that she had no idea what spawned Friday's tragedy. The daughter had "a hatred toward the family," she said.

When Josephine was about 20, she and a boyfriend trashed her parents' home and stole items including a pistol, then fled to Pittsburgh, Cruse said. After that, she said, "more or less, they disowned her."

The article also mentions that the daughter "had disabilities that prevented her from working," which means that she was on the public dole. Most likely she was a methhead (as well as being an Obama voter).

Horrible tragedy for the father, losing his entire family to a psychotic and most likely drugged out daughter.

Dear Grace, What a lovely name you have. It is my sincere hope that your comment (otherwise there would have been two still living evil people and 3 dead people that St. peter would have to decide their eternal fates...) was not meant to be an accurate description. Jesus Christ will judge the dead, not Peter. With all the trouble in the world I do not want anyone to be confused about who reads from the Book and is our final Judge. In His Name, TL

Jesus may judge but doesn’t St. Peter operate the trapdoor to hell with a lever that is by his seat at the pearly gates?

(I am kidding by the way)

My mistake, I know a lot of people have the whole image of St. peter standing by the gates with his book... Maybe he only executes the fate that jesus has written in the book...

If you are a Zoroasterist or Parsee, then you are obligated to permit the buzzards to feed.

They have special places set up for that, the towers of silence.

Zoroastrian burial rites center on exposure of the dead. After death, a dog is brought before the corpse (preferably a “four-eyed” dog, i.e., with a spot above each eye, believed to increase the efficacy of its gaze). The rite is repeated five times a day. After the first one, fire is brought into the room where it is kept burning until three days after the removal of the corpse to the Tower of Silence. The removal must be done during the daytime.

The interior of the Tower of Silence is built in three concentric circles, one each for men, women, and children. The corpses are exposed there naked. The vultures do not take long—an hour or two at the most—to strip the flesh off the bones, and these, dried by the sun, are later swept into the central well. Formerly the bones were kept in an ossuary, the astodan, to preserve them from rain and animals. The morning of the fourth day is marked by the most solemn observance in the death ritual, for it is then that the departed soul reaches the next world and appears before the deities who are to pass judgment over it.
