In a speech at a Maryland community college last week promoting his namesake health reform law, President Obama mentioned the word "benefits" 10 times.
Free preventive care, coverage for children up to age 26, a better drug plan for seniors. "We're giving more benefits and protections," he said.
But there was one word Obama didn't mention once in his entire 51-minute talk. And that word was "mandate."
That's despite the fact that a central feature of ObamaCare is the requirement that all those adoring young people buy insurance or pay a fine, and is the key to whatever chances of success it has.

Actually, those Obumbabots will receive a letter from the IRS next spring informing them that they will not be receiving their tax refund as it will be used to pay for their "free" healthcare.
Contrary to pronouncements by its cheerleaders, ObamaCare does not create rights, nor does it create benefits. It only creates obligations that coerce Americans to purchase a certain type of insurance defined by law.
Nobody says that mandatory auto insurance requirements create rights or benefits. They only create an obligation for drivers to carry liability insurance. Same applies to ObamaCare.
Unlike the auto insurance mandates, of course, Democrat-aligned persons enjoy waivers, exemptions, deferrals, subsidies and preferred treatment under ObamaCare.
What happens when millions DO sign up, lowballing estimated income and receiving undeserved subsidies? Will the IRS collect?
