The Olmsted Falls City School District, located in Olmsted Falls, Ohio has agreed to remove the video 30 Days: Muslim and America from the 7th grade World History Curriculum.

McKeigue first became concerned about the history curriculum in 2011 when her son, then in 7th grade, was required to memorize the 5 Pillars of Islam (the requirement was later discontinued). After a deeper look into the 7th grade history curriculum, McKeigue became concerned about the content of the Muslims and America video to which the school had exposed her son. She asked the School District to remove the video from the curriculum and replace it with an objective video relevant to the history of Islam, not one that taught children how to become a Muslim. Her request was denied. Subsequently, Mrs. McKeigue began the escalation process to the Superintendent and the School Board.

The questionable video features a Christian (Dave) agreeing to embrace the religion of Islam and the Muslim culture by living with a Muslim family for 30 days in Dearborn, Michigan. Dave was required to live, dress and eat as a Muslim, study the Koran daily and participate in Muslim prayer. The video features several instances of Muslim prayer and even a look at a how to pray in Islam sheet complete with Dave practicing how to pray and reciting lines such as I testify that there is no God other than the Almighty and I testify that Mohammad is the messenger of God.
The video is also set up in a manner that portrays non-Muslims as uneducated bigots and Muslims as persecuted victims. At one point in the video, 7th grade students are told that if they hear someone say something wrong about Islam, it is their responsibility to fix it.

Mohammadanism should be studied in school, alongside the political party it inspired... Naziism.
Islam appeals to fascists. Hitler thought so. Let's you know who is educating America.
Not only the video, but the traitorous teachers, principal, superintendent Todd Hoadley, and the entire Olmsted Falls City School Board should also be removed, arrested, indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
So good to see parents stand up to hatred and Islamic proselytization
Kinda ironic that the anti Christians....who used the bogus Separation of Church and State to go after Christians....now are seeing used against them
Where’s the ACLU & Atheists?
Funny, we pay these cretans who follow like zombies the word from the gov, OZ but we pay thier salaries thru our tax dollars and have nothing to say about what is being taught!
How about notifying the ACLU and the atheist groups that there is a specific religion being advocated in American public schools.
Unless there are equal modules for Christianity (Roman Catholicism, Protestantism,Eastern Rite Catholicism) , Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, this violates Separation of Church and State. Isn’t that THE LAW?
I know who authored Islam, but much more importantly I know the Author of Life...who will crush the author of Islam under my (and every other believer’s) feet!
The author of Islam knows his time is short, so he’s angry.
The mother would like people to believe that she cares about her child’s education and future. She does not. She keeps him in public school. She gets some other psychological reward from having the child but she cares not about his welfare outside of his ornamentation of her family.
That would be futile.
I don’t know why she just didn’t pull her kid out when they first stonewalled her. You don’t send your kid to a school where you can’t view and question the curriculum, and what’s this nonsense that students have to defend Islam. It’s not the school’s place to tell students who to defend or not.
“I dont know why she just didnt pull her kid out when they first stonewalled her.”
Its a possibility that her options are limited. Probably this is the only school she can send her kid to and doesnt have the time to home school.
She did the right thing. It never ceases to amaze me what some public schools will do to hoodwink parents. It’s as if they have absolutely no respect for them or their children.
Sure, she should be homeschooling if she can. But doing what she did helps ALL of the students at that school, including those with apathetic or stupid parents.
“Mohammadanism should be studied in school, alongside the political party it inspired... Naziism.”
Throw in the Klan and the Black Panthers.
Imagine there's no Islam,
It's easy if you try
No Hell they bring us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people Livin' yet today
I’m not sure if there is a problem, but after I posted the Twin Tower pic in #17 I noticed the copywrite symbol. If that’s a problem, please delete that post. I’ll use one w/o copywrite.

7th grade World History curriculum. Common Core. 7th graders should not be studying world history. They need a foundation in American geography and history.
Who are you and what horse did you ride in on? This is a good mother. I was a home school mother and saw a lot of hot house flowers that couldn’t compete in the real world. I put my daughter back into public school and walked through it with her. We are as fundamentalist evangelical believers as you can get but my daughter knows how to fight for righteousness in the real world...in fact you have probably seen on on Fox many times. So this mother is a good mother and fighting for children other than her own. Isn’t that what we are called to do, fight darkness or hide?
Those idiots and their equally idiot leftist allies where promoting Islam good, west bad way back when I was in high school 30 years ago. In rural Georgia, I was being taught how the crusaders were horrible and the crusades were bad. It was years later and outside main stream education (largely thanks to my dad, RIP) that I learned how important the crusades were to turning back the barbaric Islamic conquistadors from over running Europe and Christianity.
Ye need not fear a sunburned scalp...
I consider my own schooling. I was private schooled in the first years in a tiny Calvert System school for the progeny of diplomats and military in Istanbul. After 4th grade I was in USA public schools back in the 50s and 60s which my generation calls the good old days. I learned more history, geography and such by the end of 4th grade than I met again in public school. I learned grammar and spelling which are barely taught at all in any grade now for fear of offending illiterate parents. It has gotten steadily worse. People who went to school even in the 70s think they had a good education, but even then it is so only in comparison with now. I stand by my words.
