America is a resilient nation. We have had bad Presidents before, but without a doubt, never as bad as the current occupant of the White House. Hopefully, over time America should bounce back from the chaos and destruction Obamas policies and leadership have inflicted upon this nation.
obama-pelosi-reidWe have witnessed Obama vacillate and abdicate American national security interest to tyrants and challengers on the world stage; while paradoxically, Obama ignores American laws and bullies his political opponents in the US.
How can a great people in such a grand nation ever allow a revolutionary to assume the highest elected office in the United States? Maybe, as the deaf tone Republican leadership played the traditional roles of politics, the progressive juggernaut covertly infiltrated and dominated mainstream media, academia, and Hollywood. The progressive wing of Congressional Democrats surged in Congress while mainstream Dixieland Democrats were purged. Congressional Democrats have titled so far left of center that patriotism is now a relic that has been replaced by progressive orthodoxy.
The old Journalist networks that previously provided less biased news and information has morphed into an unholy triangle which has forgone financial rewards in order to support a progressive agenda. Stealthily, this unholy triangle has joined forces with the progressive radicals in the Democrat Party to squash conservatism.
The first pillar of the unholy triangle, the progressive media empire, shapes, censors, and fits the news to advance a progressive agenda and protect a Democrat President. We have seen how the media can create a Republican scandal or crisis when there is none. We also witnessed this empire bury news to stop and shield Democrats from growing scandals such as Benghazi, NSA, and IRS. In the largess of media power, it effectively filters the information to restrict the Republican message from ever reaching the public.
The second pillar of the unholy triangle, Academia, is no longer a vibrant institution of intellectual exploration. Academia reeks of extreme ideological professors who rule with iron fists and tolerate no thought or expression apart from their progressive theocracy. Try to invite a notable conservative speaker to address any prestigious campus. The faculty will vocally revolt to such an idea and their brainwashed students will follow suite in an attempt to verbally intimidate the administration into cancelling such opportunities, and, if that doesnt work, will rudely interrupt and harass the speakers at every opportunity. How hypocritical are the Academia declarations of the right to freedom of speech! To the majority of Academia today, that right is only guaranteed if you share their agnostic religion of progressivism!
The third pillar of the unholy triangle, Hollywood, is a cesspool of affluent self absorbed zealots who share nothing in common with the average American on the street. A large volume of movies in the last three decades have produced an underlining Anti-American narrative. America is portrayed as the villain to the worlds social, economic, religious, and environmental problems.
Daily the constant drumbeat of the unholy triangle is joined at the hip by Democrats claiming Republicans are racist, homophobic, and intolerant. But in reality, it is the left that spew the harshest hate rhetoric with the full support of the media elite. And, the American public of which the majority receive their news from social media take that hate as the gospel. As Goebels clearly said in years past, if you life enough long enough people will believe it is the truth. And they do.
In this backdrop, since the Obama election the Republican establishment has withered and cowered, almost to the point of being afraid of their shadow. The Republican establishment, feeling they understand the nuisances of the Washington beltway, jettisoned the voice of its majority conservative base. But after five years of Obama, what are the successes of the Republican establishment? Silence, fear, paralysis, and defeatism have become the hallmark of the moderate wing of the establishment Republican Party. With incredulity, these bastions of elites continue to dismiss their conservative colleagues and outwardly attack the conservative base as if it were a mere virus. Leaders who break ranks are eagerly and quickly demeaned to diminish their effect on the American people.
Yes, within the halls of Congress, the carcass of the Republic Party putrefies the hallowed chambers. The decaying, rudderless party was provided some fresh air when Senator Ted Cruz began his twenty-one hour epic filibuster in the Senate to defund Obamacare. That moment could be the turning point for the Republican Party. Cruz, a freshman Senator, embodied in a seminal moment the disheartened voice of his fellow Republican citizens. The base of the Party who are so eagerly searching for a leader willing to stand for freedom and the values of traditional right and wrong were excited and energized to see what has become a rarity among Republican leaders, someone willing to stand in principle against the erosion of individual equality, liberty, and justice.
The bridge between the conservative base and the moderate ruling class is huge and a battle for the soul of the Party is underway. For too long the establishment ruling class has wielded too much authority over the destiny of the conservative moment. Moderates in the name of compromise, have compromised so much and so often that the base has found it hard to differentiate between the policies of establishment Republicans and the Democrats.
Oddly, more Americans today identify themselves as conservatives than at any time since 1950. Strikingly, 76% of the Republican Party is comprised of conservatives, yet the ruling class of the Republican Party rests in the hands of the moderate establishment that resides in the Washington bubble. Why then does the establishment accept the liberal myth that conservatives cannot win elections? In 2012, the RNC withheld funding for two conservative Senate candidates that they deemed politically incorrect and too conservative. The result was two more Democratic Senators in office today.
Keep in mind, 76% of Republicans are identified as conservatives, yet the establishment in Washington drinks the liberal kool-aid believing that only a moderate Republican can win a Presidential election. Manipulated by the media and the propaganda of establishment Republicans, conservatives nominated McCain and Romney as their most recent Presidential candidates. Both gentlemen lost. But how could Romney lose when there are more conservatives now than any time since the 1950s? The answer is clear; Romney won the independent vote but lost five million conservative votes from the base who gave up! But the leaders insist a moderate is critical to win the Hispanic Vote and independent vote? Unfortunately, that was not the case as Romney would have still been defeated even if he had received 70% of the Hispanic Vote.
Our party needs to come back to its roots of free markets, capitalism, low taxes, religious freedom, liberty, and small government. The successful pursuit of those concepts will bring about economic stability of all Americans regardless of race, ethnicity, and gender. The majority of Republicans believe in those concepts more than ever before. America needs a leader not afraid to voice those ideals, and not ashamed to stand up for what has worked for so long. Our liberty will never be secure if American becomes a welfare state where its citizens are servants of the government master. Unfortunately, the moderates who represent the 26% of the party all live and work in DC. Hopefully the 76% who are conservatives are ready to stand up and voice their opinion. If not, that 26% will continue to lead us to nowhere.
I don't know your age, but it's doubtful you would make it to Captain in today's Corps. You make too much sense.
Thanks for your service.
Very nice Col. but about 20 years too late.. maybe 30...
The republican party ALLOWED socialism to take over federal givernment.. and many State givernments as well..
On Nov. 6th 2012 VOTING died in the United States.....
Course was already dead “WE”(republicans) just didn’t know it...
“The CABAL”(both parties) in Washington D.C. Overplayed their hand..
And let VOTER FRAUD run rampant.... displaying the situation to ALL that was not DELUSIONAL...
Federal(and many State) elections are MANIPULATED....
Am I saying YOU...... are delusional.... probably.. you appear to be....
ONLY A CIVIL WAR can set the republic right again.. IMO..
The purge (in federal power) began seriously with the Clintoons.. and was completed under Obama..
Course I could be wrong.. the purge may have started way before the Clintoons.. under Carter.. or even LBJ or Kennedy..
Cloward-Piven is not an accident and Saul Alinsky was no hair brained leftist.. he was brilliant..
Republican lines have been OVER-RAN and “the party” is corrupted..
Even a third party is defeatist thinking...
Hopefully, over time America should bounce back from the chaos and destruction Obamas policies and leadership have inflicted upon this nation.
Hopefully, over time the next generation of Americans should bounce back from the chaos and destruction that is sure to sorsen over the next 20 years ... as the welfare culture has not changed.
I watched Ted Cruz during his valiant effort to halt the disaster called Obamacare. I hope you watched it as well. If he has used it once, he used the phrase “...we no longer listen to the people, our constituents...” over a hundred times. And he was right...they don’t. And the fact is, THEY NO LONGER NEED TO.
I’ve sent my little rant on this topic before but Ted’s honest comment compels me to do so again.

WHY THE POLITICAL RULING CLASS NO LONGER LISTENS TO US!
Among others, Thomas Jefferson warned that the financial disaster we now face would be but one of many problems paper money would visit upon us if we allowed our leaders to remove the backing from the currency, to wit:
When the servants of the people are paid with something other than that which the people themselves have produced (i.e. the real, tangible products of their labors or some fixed and real medium of that exchange), the roles of master and servant will be reversed.
It was believed by Roger Sherman and a majority of those at the Constitutional Convention that un-backed currency would so damage the fabric of the nation that they ATTEMPTED to prohibit it with these few words at Article 1, Section 10, requiring the states to enforce the prohibition: No State shall make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;
If the people and their states grew inattentive to this matter (and they have!), Jefferson also saw this problem ahead:
In a letter to John Taylor in 1816, he wrote, “And I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies; and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”
We have been swindling futurity for a long time and this is now where we find ourselves. If the government, through its banker masters at the Federal Reserve, can create money from thin air, they certainly dont need ours every April 15th. That annual sheep shearing is simply an attempt to vacuum enough of the excess paper from the system to keep the rest of us from catching on to the biggest theft ring in the history of man. They have now created so much that their attempt is failing and failing badly to a point where all but the dullest among us (Obama voters and his growing cadres of personal and corporate welfare beneficiaries) are starting to get it.
If you understood that last paragraph, you can now make the small leap to an understanding as to why the progressive utopian welfare state hacks in Washington dont give a damn WHAT you think. Their power to create all the money they need to fuel their infernal machine and fill the gaping maws of enough of those hoards of welfare constituents to assure their perpetual re-election means that — ready — THEY NO LONGER NEED YOU! They have become, as Mr. Jefferson predicted, our MASTERS.
That they are taking down a nation and a system that has provided more wealth, safety and abundance to more people than any other in history matters not to them. Failing to grasp the lesson of the French Revolution, they believe themselves to be above the impending disaster.
Were running out of time to get this increasingly rapacious beast back into the cage from which we have carelessly allowed it to escape.
This is spot on...esp the GOP and PhonyCon Liberals sandbagging some of our Senate candidates in 2012.....sadly quite a few on here supported the sandbagging of Todd Akin
Ultimately, Akin has himself to blame. Ditto Mourdock in IN. We mostly supported both, but neither had the sense to keep themselves from falling into a media trap with their own mouths. If they had, both would be in the Senate today.
I hate it when a decaying, purifying carcass loses its rudder.
