And I mean I hate them.
Excellent... God bless these heroes and their families!!
Thanks for posting that great photo, Haiku Guy.
Let's hope it turns out better.
The closed down the Pandacam but the Mount St Helen’s cam is still running.
How many employees does it take to let a webcam run?
They are just a bunch of Old White Guys. Probably a bunch of gun owners amongst them. What makes them think that they have any standing against the needs of the almighty state, which must be fed?
The Bonus Army Invades
Washington, D.C., 1932
Simply awesome, AND REAL, optics! God bless these most honorable Vets and Rep. Steve King for standing up for their freedom, which they "paid for".
A complete reversal of the lame attempt for an 0bama-manipulated 'optic' of 'woe, look what the shutdown did...' FAIL!
the MLK monument is the most awful sighted monuments in the country
Another link to this great story. Thanks for posting this:
Some enterprising webcaster needs to take about five minutes of PandaCam footage and put it on a continuous loop, so the PandaCam addicted amongst us need not suffer unduly...
a bunch of public monuments are closed, !!! How, for crying out loud ?
It takes manpower to close the damn monuments and they’re public, paid by us.
hey media, do your , oh forget , they’ll never do their jobs and report the truth.
I’m sure the vets will volunteer to maintain it.
TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
I was wrong, Granny is there today.
I would venture to say that ThinkProgress has strongly mixed feelings about reporting this story...
