Without a doubt, there are a lot of stupid Americans. Unfortunately stupid can’t be fixed.

We need to see the rise of another ‘ greatest generation’

Not if it is anything like the last "greatest generation" thank you very much.

Who elected FDR FOUR times? Who elected that moron Woodrow Wilson two times? Who elected LBJ?

The problems we are dealing with now can most all be traced to those three presidents and the "greatest communists" who voted for them.

On the conservative side of the political spectrum, we frequently refer to liberals as “low information voters,” a nice way of saying they are stupid. From their point of view, however, we are the stupid ones. And not merely stupid, but evil
Is it not written, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil” in Isaiah 5:20?

And no, the phrase “low information voter” is not a synonym for “stupid”, because it presumes that those voters that increase their information also greatly increase their chances of breaking free of the left’s lies.

On our way to “Idiocracy”. That movie was hilarious first time I saw it. Not so much today.

If the Democrats were truly stupid, we wouldn’t have to worry. They would be too stupid to run for office and they would be too stupid to handle the physical process of voting. They vote based on their perceived self-interest. If the Republicans want to absolutely destroy the Democrats, they just need to explain to the Democrat voters why it is in their best self-interest to vote for Republicans. Not what’s good for America, what’s good for them personally. No Contract With America, have a Contract With Democrat Voters.

As a retired person, I volunteer occasionally for various charities and meet people of all kinds. Over the last several months I have made it a point to ask a question or two about were they get their information about what is happening in the world. The vast majority admit they never read a newspaper but get what little news they have (or care about) from the likes of MSNBC and CNN. The vast majority of my non scientific survey are not interested in the news and never watch any news programs.

My next question: then how do you know how to vote? “Gut feeling” being the majority response.

I’m sure that the “gut feeling” comes from the MSM that they watch.

Just an observation from the sidelines.

Many things we thought we would never see or experience in our Lifetimes are becoming the fabric of our Society.

The scary part of course is that it seems a majority of the Country welcomes the change.

The Useful Idiots control the Ballot Box while being influenced by those who control the Soap Box.

“Fully half of Americans are below average. It just doesn’t get any worse than that.”

That has been my theme since Obumbo was first elected.
Over 50% has been dumbed down by Marxist media and Marxist public education.
The sad part is that it will get only worse, especially with the Afro and Hispanic population exploding. How long will it be before whites are the minority?
At my age as a senior, it is obvious that the country can not recover in my lifetime.
I will spend my final senior years exploring other countries.
For the USSA I can do nothing more then vote.

I wish that I didn’t have to care, but this bunch inflicts their stupidity on the rest of us. I really believe that polling tests were perfectly justified, also being required to be a taxpayer, property owner, or some way of having “skin in the game” to vote. I could even wish that women didn’t have the vote-our influence as a sex has been pernicious on government growth. The growing moocher class has free rein to rob the rest of us.

Don’t forget that you can shoot here too. Most of Europe, and Australia, can’t say the same, and they are further along the path than we are, though we’re dogging their steps.

I hate to think how many Americans don't get that.

Actually, it's not quite perfectly true. If you have a large number of distant outliers in the intelligence distribution, it would drag the average (or Mean) up or down. It would be accurate to say "Fully half of all Americans are below the Median." </stick-in-the-mud>

:^)

This is true, but they are also composed of ethically challenged & ruthless “leaders” (ANY means justifies the end) who exploit the other portion of emotionally immature, inexperienced (or socially scarred), & naive follower types. These leaders/ handlers then set them up to behave in ways that reinforce their “programming” or conditioning.

I guess I just described the classic “useful idiot”.

I’m not sure these followers can be reached. You see the light flicker on with some of them & the next thing you know, they’re right back in lock step, 180 degrees from what looked like it might be critical thought.

There, but for the Grace of God...

No. Americans are lazy and complacent, which is the fruit of the unbelievable wealth that we have received from our antecedents. We have come to accept the television as the source and font of all knowledge as well as entertainment, and it has been turned into an instrument of social control.

We may get through this. The Internet provides a source of information that is, at least at the moment, too wide and diverse to control. That attempt is being made, however, desperately, by those whose control of broadcast media is threatened. If we can stave that effort off long enough for the current generations to grow accustomed to unfiltered sources of information we have a chance to dodge this very dangerous statist bullet. That, I submit, is where the battlefield now resides.

A few decades ago, there were stupid people who thought the only source of news was from the alphabet channels, and that led them to make ignorant decisions. Today, there are ignorant people who think the only source of news is from the alphabet channels, and that leads them to make stupid decisions.
