"Why was the veteran's monument barricaded?"

Because le Roi Obama is closing the facilities, departments and government services that will evoke the MOST negative emotionalism against the GOP among the low-and-no-information voters.

He is truly a conniving, evil man.

The French revolutionaries had a famous phrase for it during the street battles in Paris in 1848...."TO THE BARRICADES, CITIZENS!"

It does reach back to the baby boomers...right around the time television/movies/music took a hard left turn. We allowed that counter-culture minority(the ones that never matured and stuck to their adolescent ignorance)to put themselves into positions of power and influence later on.

Big mistake.

They did mention no one on staff to administer CPR, or heck, even pick up the trash.

Someone gets a heart attack and they sue because there weren’t any barricades stopping them from entering the park.

Then a couple of days later there are cigarette butts and, soda cans, and food wrappers all over the park because no one is on duty the clean up after the tourists.

The National Park Police have been politicized for years. The Dept. of the Interior is run by Obama cronies and fools.
The Capitol Police are basically controlled by Harry Reid and maybe Bonehead.

So far three losers in the Obama regime.

As to the possibility of someone having a heart attack at the memorial, so what? Are they going to damage the marble re “future generations”?
{I’ve had both a heart attack and cardiac arrest, and I can assure you that when I hit the ground the last time, I didn’t chip the concrete}.

Damned, some of our govt employees are dumber than dogshit, and I work, as a contractor, for the govt.

The level of stupidity and incompetence under the Obama regime is the highest ever in the history of this country.

I say that as an insider and am sad to say it because there are many really good govt employees who are getting a bad name because of the actions of the assholes higher up.

If they don’t want cigarette butts and beer/soda cans all over the place, they just have to keep Democrats out.

Also I don’t think this was a surprise that they were coming. It’s part of Honor Flight and most of these need to be booked a year in advance.

I gave the wrong link above, here’s the right one.
(IMPORTANT NOTE:
Honorflight.com and Honorflights.com are NOT associated with Honor Flight Network. (honorflight.org). The aforementioned sites and any other sites of companies that charge any fee to veterans are not affiiliated in any way to Honor Flight Network. The flights and tours that Honor Flight Network provides World War II and terminally ill veterans are absolutely FREE.)

There is one thing that should be the TOP priority of the Tea Party: Shut down government schools.

90% of American children spend 10-12 years being indoctrinated by government employees, and people wonder why their children turn out druggies, pregnant, diseased, socialist, and Godless. Two-thirds of Evangelicals’ children leave their church as soon as they leave home. Catholics are doing possibly worse.

Imagine the wailing if the government shut down all the newspapers and demanded we all subscribe to a government newspaper. The government has done this with schools, and people think it’s a law of nature that government should run schools.

The government took over almost all schooling at the same time the Progressives gave us the Federal Reserve and the 16th and 17th Amendments.

Anyone who is not making some serious effort to undermine government schooling is not a conservative. Or, at least, is someone who is still living in the dark.

Oh no! Without the valuable Muslim outreach that NASA does, we are far more likely to be attacked.

I doubt there will ever be tours at the White House again, until Obama is gone.

During the last shutdown looters hit some of the Civil War battlefields, hard. They destroyed historic fortifications and may have dug up previously undiscovered burials in their efforts to add a button or buckle to their collections. You would not believe the disrespect people inflict on a monument or site when left unattended.

I read the same thing. I don’t know if past shutdowns have ever effected Army/Navy games. I never noticed any difference with anything with past shutdowns. It’s a sure bet Obama and the fanatical leftists will do everything they can to make people notice this one.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again.
These parks, monuments, and memorials are on public lands owned by the PEOPLE of the United States of America.
They are NOT owned by the GOVERNMENT.
I would be arrested for going on my own property?
Fine do it.
I don’t need a federal TOUR GUIDE taking me on a nature walk around Yosemite or Yellowstone; I know how to pick up my own trash and any body else’s that the slobs leave behind. Just as a matter of interest I know how to move through wild-lands; mountains, desert, or forest without leaving enough sign for these rubberheads to find, much less track.
I sure as hell don’t need some dumb airhead who flunked U.S. history taking me on a guided tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield.
