Meanwhile today I'm going to try my first ever attempt to bake cookies. Sugar cookies. Not the stupid, soft, chewy kind so in fashion today but the short, hard, tasty kind I grew up with.

Yesterday I made pie crust dough in preparation for making shoo fly pies this weekend. Tried mixing the dough in a bread machine.
Going to take a couple of days to get that mess cleaned up, LOL!

Funny how this weather makes you want to bake! I made cupcakes the other day. From scratch. Sent a bunch to mr S office, my office and the maintenance staff.
I spent the last week cleaning black walnuts. LOVE kolaczki made with black walnut filling!
With Reid and Pelosi it’s like a contest as to who can make the dumbest, most offensive comment.
They talk about the repubs acting like juveniles, but THEY are the ones that come off as petulant children. The republs are acting like the adults here.
I would suggest that the juveniles need a spanking at the next election.
Barrycading places like the national mall, tarping over the Flight 93 memorial, keeping vets from their memorials...how can anyone but left wing wackos support these people?
We usually bake our own bread but a couple of days ago mrs p6 picked up a loaf of Italian Shop n Save bread for 98 cents. It’s baked in the store. Wow is it good! It tastes almost exactly like our bread...soft with a flakey crust.
Oh the lies from the MSM! Mrs p6 has KDKA tv on and they are spinning how successful the roll out of obamacare was! Millions calling in and signing up!
The MSsM is in an alternate reality!
BTW Pens tonight as well as the Bucs! Hard choice but nice for a change!

Cookies! Not “sure” if they’re having a cookie table @son’s wedding next year?!? Brode’s family is lovely, we are so happy for the kids...it’s not a big deal (but I can “vent” to my “imaginary FRiends can’t I?) her mom (who I really, really like said she never “understood” why cookies were/are a big deal. The Hall were reception will be held ALLOWS “homemade” cookies (and wedding cakes) but I don’t want to be pushy...yet I did ALL cookies for my daughter’s wedding (and kinda enjoyed it!). Sigh...maybe minds will change:)
So glad the R’s haven’t caved. Yet. The open air, outdoor Monument shut down will bite the Dims in arse (IMO). Too many groups (from Vets, Golden yrs clubs, school groups, churches, Scouts) ALL plan tours of these places! Nothing is more “local” than having saved for a trip and then have a big part of it ruined.
I use my bread machine several times a week. I have a favorite buttermilk white bread recipe that always comes out consistantly moist and dense with a high rise. I’m trying to find other recipes to add some variety.
We rarely check out the msm news shows. Mr S and I just can’t believe some of the outlike lies and deception are spewed from those stations!!! No wonder the general populace is so uninformed! My own family (siblings, inlaws) are all in lala land - just what the dems want. Family avoids talking politics with me at all costs, except for one sister who is also paying attention. I wish everybody would WAKE UP!!

Husband surprised me w/ a ladies Cutch tee shirt last night!!! Had been sharing my teenage son’s tee shirt collection:) have my very own now!
Yup...Just heard on tv that the bucs game indeed starts early! 5 something our time. That seems like an odd time for a playoff game. It’s more or less rush hour in both cities.
The FOOLS in NYC think that this game (Bucs v. Cards) would be the lesser draw....but...
Did you see the ratings? The displaced YINZERS (SteelerNation!!! And sentimental rooting for the underdog types) made the Tuesday game @PNC the HIGHEST rated baseball game. Ever.
And they throw the next one (today’s game) away.

Tried to bake sugar cookies today. Cut the recipe in half. Ooooo...like eating melted sugar. Grandkids will have to wait.
BTW my 2 sons got their first paychecks with BO care deductions.
Dad is going to have to bail them out. Dad doesn’t have the money.
This is a train wreck, just like was predicted.
