Why has the Senate not yet passed the FY2014 Defense Appropriations Bill?
The House of Representatives passed it in July and sent it to committee in August. That's more than two months ago by my calculations.
The FY2014 Defense Appropriation Bill has nothing to do with the current partisan controversy over the ACA and should be passed ASAP.
The defense of our nation is at stake.
Let's get on with it.
Please ask Mr Reid to set up a vote on it today.
Thank you and have a nice day!
Good luck with that. Sherrod Brown feels safe as safe can be. He’s not up for a good while yet.
Thanks for taking a stand!
It is time to point out the blatant hypocrisy of blaming the republicans in the House for the Government shutdown. The Senate is sitting on numerous appropriations bills and has done NOTHING with them. Who is really “holding America hostage”?
SENATORS! PASS THE APPROPRIATIONS BILLS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE BEFORE CRITICIZING THE HOUSE!
As has been pointed out on FR in the past, silence is consent. I do not consent. There is risk in everything we do or fail to do.
If I cannot speak freely to Ohio’s publicly elected officials about matters of the public record without fear of reprisal then the republic is truly dead. An audit will be the least of my worries.
Did you at look at the link from the Library of Congress? The FY2014 Defense Appropriations bill has been sitting in Senate committee since 1 Aug 2013!
