“The Nazis ensured that Darwinism was taught in detail using textbooks and classrooms for the reason that ideas derived from ‘Darwinian theory became important truths in Hitler’s ideology.’”

Darwinian naturalism has been in the universities since the 1920’s and 30’s.

Yeah, because nobody ever slaughtered millions of people before Darwin and Hitler came along.

The overall premise of naturalism – that everything in the universe is random and purposeless

That's a lie.

It’s important to note that while Darwin’s Theory Of Evolution certainly did lay the groundwork for eugenics, it was subsequently honed and refined by many people in far flung places from its origin.
Many members of the United States academia set up the sterilization solution to weed out ‘bad genes’.

However, this alone did not allow for the travesty of Hitler’s Germany. After all, God was still the overseer. No matter how man might have come to be, God still presided over all. Not so, according to Friedrich Nietzsche, who proclaimed ‘The Death of God’ and the dawn of nihilism.
It was these divergent developments that gave Hitler and his cadre the intellectual hammer with which to smash the order of humanity and bring in a new age of death and destruction.

"Yeah, because nobody ever slaughtered millions of people before Darwin and Hitler came along."

That may be true but at least they had God on their side.

Actually, no one ever did - the concept of organized genocide did not exist before the early 20th century - beginning with the Communist destruction of the “kulaks” of the Urkraine.

Actually, you’re wrong. The Mongols slaughtered by the millions. And as far as religion, various religions slaughtered hundreds of thousands of people before Darwin and Hitler. Just in the religious wars of the 1600s hundreds of thousands were slaughtered. Try again.

How many died in the civil war? How many died in the European conquest of the new world?

Somehow I suspect they weren't the first to have the idea. They were just the first to have the technological means and the will to use it for that.

re: “Yeah, because nobody ever slaughtered millions of people before Darwin and Hitler came along.”

Point taken. There was also Stalin and Chairman Mao, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Ming, etc.

I get your drift - what about all the people killed in the name of God?

I guess the only difference is, as to Christianity, so-called Christians who did commit such crimes did so in direct violation of everything Christ or the Apostles taught in the New Testament.

It’s also true that just because someone accepts Darwinian naturalism doesn’t mean that they are a barbarous murderer.

However, if you follow the moral implications of the theory - that morality is just an evolutionary quirk to help maintain the “herd”, the strongest and the fittest are the ones who have the moral imperative to survive and the weak, well, if they get in the way of the “strongest and the fittest”, well then, why not simply remove the “useless eaters”. They are a drag on the state and the healthy.

I’m in no way saying that is what you or many fine scientists believe, but that view, unfortunately, does not violate anything in Darwinian theory.

While the term “genocide” didn’t exist the organized slaughter of people the rulers don’t like goes as far back as we can find. heck there’s two in the Bible.

mongols only slaughtered those who resisted , as a object lesson.

Genghis Khan innovated many ways of organizing his army, dividing it into decimal subsections of arbans (10 people), zuuns (100), myangans (1000) and tumens (10,000). The Kheshig or the Imperial Guard was founded and divided into day (khorchin, torghuds) and night guards (khevtuul).[21] He rewarded those who had been loyal to him and placed them in high positions, placing them as heads of army units and households, even though many of his allies had been from very low-rank clans.[22] Compared to the units he gave to his loyal companions, those assigned to his own family members were quite few. He proclaimed a new law of the empire, Ikh Zasag or Yassa, and codified everything related to the everyday life and political affairs of the nomads at the time. He forbade the selling of women, theft of other's properties, fighting between the Mongols, and the hunting of animals during the breeding season.[22] He appointed his adopted brother Shigi-Khuthugh supreme judge (jarughachi), ordering him to keep records of the empire. In addition to laws regarding family, food and army, Genghis also decreed religious freedom and supported domestic and international trade. He exempted the poor and the clergy from taxation.[23] Thus, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians from Manchuria, North China, India and Persia joined Genghis Khan long before his foreign conquests. He also encouraged literacy, adopting the Uyghur script which would form the Uyghur-Mongolian script of the empire, and he ordered the Uyghur Tatatunga, who had previously served the khan of Naimans, to instruct his sons.[24]

Darwinism and natural selection has never contributed anything to science or life. It is a godless system invented by a godless man to show his arrogance against the God of creation. Someday the whole facade will come crashing down and schools that forbid the teaching of intelligent design will be scrapheaps of history.

Nobody wants to try to match that. But if you’re trying to make the point that Darwin was responsible for Hitler or communism’s murder count, you’re way off base. Hitler killed because he believed in the master race..not Darwinism. He hated “subhumans” ...Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, anybody who was not a German Aryan. Marxist ideology, not Darwinism led to the slaughter of millions by the commies.
