Reminds me when my elder boy was going to school at VCU in Richmond, VA. He and his roommate hear gunshots down the street at about 2 A.M. What do they do? Roomie throws on a flak jacket (National Guard) and they both head out to the street in the direction of fire. Nothing but a thing.

The media is obviously disinterested in identifying her. The vehicle she was in has a license tag. Any people search should be able to identify who owns the car. From there they could find out who the driver most likely was.
They really aren’t interested since the person killed was not an armed, white male.

Maybe she was just afraid of a bunch of men with guns pointed at her? She could have panicked similar to how that guy driving the SUV over motorcyclists panicked. He thought his life and his wife and child's life were in danger.
