Team Obama was too ambitious in its play to use the World War II Memorial as a prop in the campaign to blame Republicans for the government shutdown. If you’ve ever been to the World War II Memorial, you know that it is an open space at street level. Under normal circumstances, government personnel have no role in admitting or denying access to the memorial.
Real effort had to be taken and precise instruction had to be given to round up barricades and have them installed in a clumsy, visible way that would block pedestrians from entering the memorial. It was an effort to supply a pathetic visual that would highlight the sad dysfunction of the government in Washington, and obviously blame Republicans. It will be worth knowing – and I hope Congress pursues it – the precise steps that had to be taken through the government’s organization chart to deploy resources to place barricades that would trap American veterans in a photo-op intended to serve the president’s political interest.

Ten more cemeteries in in France, as well as others in various European countries as well as Mexico, Panama, Tunisia and the Philippines, will remain closed for the duration of the shutdown. “

The DNC and its minions in the federal employee ranks had definitely planned to inflict punishment and pain, and they had prepared long in advance of the shutdown they the orchestrated.
You are right — I did a quick search and it’s closed too — it took more work to close these monuments, than to leave them open.

They spent a lot of bucks to close down a public space.
That is just politics and insane too.
The photo op the president wanted was a bunch of sad, pitiful veterans being denied the opportunity to visit their memorial by the EEEvil republicans. What he got was some photos of real men and women who refuse to take any more of his crap and stood up to that pathetic little bully.
I recently heard someone reveal the mindsets of dissidents who were sent to gulags during Stalin's reign. Many of these people never made the connection that Stalin was behind it. They looked at Stalin as some national father figure and truly believed in their hearts that some local bureaucrat was behind their incarceration. They would go on for years believing that this was going on without Stalin's knowledge, and that if he ever found out, he would put a stop to it immediately.
This same mindset exists in today's liberals. They know things are really really screwed up, but they cannot make the connection that Obama is behind it. They think that if their particular problem was ever brought to Obama's attention, that he would immediately fix it.
George Bush would never have allowed this to happen. He respects and admires our military and veterans.
Liberals start from the assumption that leftists who seek and attain power are morally and intellectually superior to everyone else.
When you have that Humanist based assumption, then you arrive at the conclusions that your average sheeperal arrives at.

In addition to my tagline, there is another maxim regarding communism:
Communists never break ranks.
It all goes back to the “iron discipline” in the Party that Lenin demanded. Stalin followed Lenin’s policy by ruthlessly purging (murdering) anyone who could possibly break ranks. He did this not only in the USSR but all of the international parties as well. As a result, the collective herd instinct so strong in communists is reinforced by the fear of the purge. It’s in their blood.
A generation ago the communists took over the democrat party and cemented their control over the media/entertainment complex as their propaganda arm. Because they are good disciplined communists, they will never break ranks and turn on each other, unless it is a purge authorized by the Party leadership.
That was probably the thought process of that crazy women that was killed trying to see Obama yesterday.
The bottomless pit of depravity of this administration is breathtaking. From the thugs hired to do their bit in the protests to the closing of parks that have NO government funding at all is absolute childishness. This administration is corrupt to the very last person.
