“The 2014 tax season is going to be awful. 2013 wasn’t fun with delayed forms, software glitches by the IRS, and estimating Obamacare “taxes” and “subsidies”.”

We are still IN 2013. 2013 tax returns will not be filed until 2014.

The only reason you see all these complaints is exactly because these interns can’t purge them due to ‘government shutdown’.

VA, Affordable Care Act and You

What is the Affordable Care Act?

The Affordable Care Act, also known as the health care law, was created to expand access to coverage, control health care costs and improve health care quality and care coordination. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans’ out-of-pocket costs.

Three things you should know:
1 VA wants all Veterans to receive health care that improves their health and well-being.
2 If you are enrolled in VA health care, you don’t need to take additional steps to meet the health care law coverage standards. The health care law does not change VA health benefits or Veterans’ out-of-pocket costs.
3 If you are not enrolled in VA health care, you can apply at any time.

Veterans Enrolled in VA Health Care

The good news is that Veterans enrolled in VA health care programs have health coverage that meets the new health care law’s standard. You do not have to take any additional steps to have health coverage. Read more if enrolled…

Veterans Not Enrolled in VA Health Care

Veterans not currently enrolled in VA health care program can apply for enrollment at any time. Read more about enrolling…

Family Members

VA offers health care benefits for certain family members of Veterans through programs such as the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs (CHAMPVA) and the Spina Bifida program. Read more about VA family programs…

Your family members who are not enrolled in a VA health care program should use the Marketplace to get coverage.

Additional Health Care Law Information

We understand you may have questions about the health care law and how it might affect you and your family. We compiled basic information about the health care law to help you make informed decisions about your health care. Let us know if you have questions regarding the health care law and your VA health care at 1-877-222-VETS (8387). After all, ensuring you receive quality health care is not just our obligation, it’s also our privilege.

“Please feel free to add to or correct this process if you feel don’t have it quite right.”

You forgot to add that if the obuma nazi navigators don’t like you for any reason, they can hand you over to the death panel for your imminent demise.

Chet McAteer For those who, for whatever reason, actually believe anything this government does needs to think about this: We are told by this government that Social Security is solvent and will remain solvent until sometimes in the decade of 2030....however, if you listened the the Supreme Leader’s recent speech you will find a nugget of truth: “In a government shutdown, Social Security checks still go out on time... If we don’t raise the debt ceiling they don’t...”, but wait Mr. Obama, I thought Social Security was solvent, you mean it’s not? NO IT ISN”T! You see, like all government smoke and mirrors, the Social Security Trust Fund has NO MONEY IN IT, only special government securities that are non-marketable...in other words completely worthless. So, with a history of lies, whether from the corrupt Republicans or the equally corrupt Democrats, why would anyone with a logical mind actually believe anything this government says about anything? OBAMACARE....is just another part of an overall lie, there is so much that was pressed upon this country through subterfuge that the consequences of this legislation will cause ever-increasing shockwaves, not merely in the economy, but in the social substructure of this society.

Other thread A lot of them already get free insurance; as I understand it, this is actually to subsidize older sick people.

They were already covered, which I know from personal experience. The flukes were not.

Mike Larsen Boy, that Jeanette chick seems to REALLY be playing defense on this post. I guess she’s getting a lot of flack because of all the Obama bumper stickers on her car. These plans are ridiculous. And for the record, because of Obamacare, my BCBS plan that I’ve had for years has DOUBLED. The letter I received from them even said so.

Sean Jones Good for you Commrade Carolyn for taking the responsiblity of the life and death desisions out of your hands and putting it into the hands of some government official who doesn’t know you and your family, and frankly could not care less. I suggest moving to a communist country where everything will be provided for you.

On second thought, it’s time to set aside the euphemisms and propaganda about “health care.” Obumacare is a rat plan for the mass murder of millions of Americans, especially the elderly. Just because these rat nazis don’t use ovens and firing squads to eliminate opponents doesn’t mean that they’re not nazis.

We are at war and best start acting like it.

Premiums are less meaningful.

Not if they cost as much as a Ferrari.

“he he he.....two full election cycles, and all any of ‘em heard was “free”. Reap the whirlwind, Barry!”

Even worse, the fine for opting out gradually increases over time. If this is already the reaction, what comes next year (before the mid-term)?

Julianne Wiley As fr as I can tell, our premium has doubled and our deductibles have tripled. With a $7,000 family deductible, all of my prescription meds will apparently be out of pocket forever. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and this is deeply troubling. We just don’t have the money.

Ipso Phakto Obama said “if you like your plan, you can keep it, no matter what. period.”. I got a letter from my insurer saying that due to the ACA my plan will discontinue! Obama lied.

I now pay $525 per month. The ACA estimate is $1078 per month! How the heck am I supposed to afford that? This is insanity. Obamacare is a lifetime of ransom payments I can’t make.

How is this “affordable”? Why did Obama lie to the whole country, repeatedly?

You must pay the ‘entire premium’ cash every month and then hope that you qualify for the ‘tax credit subsidy’ which you won’t get til tax time.

These fools are figuring their monthly payment minus the sub...and planning to pay only that....wait til they find it won’t cover them til their cough up the rest!

I'm beginning to think the Republican's best strategy is to "cave" on Obamacare, in return for something else. Another year of this, and we'll have a GOP Congress again.
