Detroit's largest public sector union scored a symbolic victory Friday when a Michigan administrative law judge reinstated an extra annual pension check for city workers and retirees, although the judge in the city's bankruptcy case has prohibited enforcement of the ruling.

One of the ways to give pensioners a raise and stay within the rules set up for the pension is to give more months pay. Simply adding months to the year was something the people who set up the system never considered as it’s patently ridiculous. As in Greece, where employees were getting 14 “monthly” checks a year they added a 13th check. The ruling says, okay, you can have it, as it didn’t violate any of the written rules. But a different judge said they won’t actually pay it.
Didn’t Obama just give Detroit a coupla dollars? Should have known it was union pay.
The additional checks will be paid for the NEW month to be added to the calendar. This new month will follow July & August and, like them, will also bear the name of an Emperor.
July = Julius Caesar
August = Augustus Caesar
Obamaost = Obama Maoist

Detroit....the city that gives retired city employees a bonus.
“Thank-you all for coming to our Retired City Employees Bonus Award Celebration! Tonight, we honor those former city employees who did nothing for Detroit this year. First up is Steve Schmedlap. Steve, tell everyone what you didn’t do for Detroit this year.”
“I didn’t fix any broken water mains.”
“Steve, we just can’t thank you enough for not doing that. Here’s your check.”
“Next, we have Debbie Donuts. Debbie, tell everyone what you didn’t do for Detroit to earn this bonus.”
“I didn’t write any parking tickets.”
“Give her a hand folks! It’s rare to see someone so dedicated to not doing any work for Detroit. Here’s your bonus check. Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know about you, but I am certainly impressed by these people. Usually, you have to be a relative of a Democrat politician to get paid by the government to do nothing, but these folks have established some new standards. What do you say? Do you think we should give out more bonuses to people who aren’t working for Detroit? Yep, we all agree. It makes me proud to be your President.”
Well, if you added another month to the calendar, you would have 12 months of 28 days each, and one month of 29 days! That would certainly make the calendar easier to follow.
Off topic, but at one time Mensa published a calendar with the same number of days in each month, and the same day number, (say the 5th) was always the same day of the week.
That way when you would say, see you on the 5th, everyone knew that it was going to be a Saturday.
I didn’t keep a copy of the article, and I can’t seem to quickly find it online.
