Lawmaker says barricade of WWII memorial is 'Chicago thuggery'

A group of Texas congressmen armed with wire cutters made their way to the World War II Memorial in Washington after they learned the National Park Service had reinforced the barriers blocking the site with wire.

“This is Chicago thuggery,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) told me. “The president is trying to inflict the most amount of pain and suffering. This is not some bureaucratic mistake. This is Chicago thuggery. You try to make people hurt so they don’t resist what you tell them to do in the future.”

Stack barriers, use the strongest bike lock/chain combination you can afford to lose and chain the stack together. Repeat until all barriers are neatly and safely stored so that none of them will be stolen (or used again.)

If ten people kick in ten bucks each, that’s a stack of 10 barriers out of the picture.

Obama is going to ALLOW them to go in the back? No real American would try to treat fellow Americans this way.
These are WWII Veterans! They will damn well go in the front! It is their memorial! They put their lives on the line so this non-Veteran President can make them use the back door? In America?

In Lithuania there is a hill of crosses representing sons of Lithuania who disappeared in various conflicts since the 13th centuray. The Soviets repeatedly removed the crosses and even bulldozed the hill. The people just kept putting them back up.

I hope the people of the US follow this example of civil disobedience regarding our national monuments.

My wife and I visited the memorial in 2008. It’s beautiful. Water is the central motif in it all. There’s a large reflecting pool in the center, as can be seen in the right hand corner of this picture. On the north/south axis are two structures titled ‘’Pacific’’(seen here to the left) and the other is “Atlantic’’ representing the two theaters of the war. Along the base of each, inscribed in stone are the major campaigns and battles of each of theater along the rim of a half-moon shaped fountain. Here the water is roiling and tumbling, suggesting the roar and chaos of battle. The most poignant use of water that I saw is on the western wall, seen at the back of this picture. Where dark and light grey granite is the major material, along this western wall white marble is used. Here gold stars, each representing in denomination adding up to the 435,000 American dead of WW2. Here the water falls over this area in a very thin, very quiet shimmering way suggesting reverence. The face of this wall is to the east with the sun light glinting off the gold stars. It’s simply breath taking and very moving. My wife’s late father served with the 4th. Marine Division in WW2. I had a number of uncles, all gone now, who served in Europe and in the Navy in the Pacific. I could kick the crap out of this piece shit punk ass president from here to next Tuesday for what he has done concerning this memorial and what it means to these veterans, their families and all Americans for whom a generation of young men and women fought so heroically and courageously for. Obama really is the embodiment of what decent, hard-working and law-abiding black people mean when they use the n word.

Although I would love to have Gohmert as Junior Senator to Cruz, his absence from the House will be sorely missed.

That's OK, I think one of them should run for Speaker of the House, so we can coordinate policy.

Louie would fare much better with voters of like mind rather than trying to swim upstream against all the RINOs and closet RINOs in the House.
Cornwallace will not be easy to beat in the Primary, he has lots of $ and backing from the DoWorst TexGOPe and the national GOPe.

So long as we keep the House and gain the majority in the Senate in 2014 and then the POTUS with Cruz in 16, it will be possible to shame any Speaker into towing the line.

They should pull every gate down from all over the country and send them to DC. Nthey they should surround the white house with them. And wire them together.

Then form a human chain around the white house.

That’ll damn sure be necessary after 2016 election to keep them from striping the WhiteyHut on the way back to Kenya.

It has, however, managed to push Chicago’s ongoing xenocide off the few front pages where it ever got any coverage at all.

Thanks RummyChick.

MLK has an angry look on his face in that statue, and I don’t think he’d approve of being frozen in time like that. I’ve hated it since the moment I first saw it.

Yep, that's the Chicago way... the mafia way, the thug way... and now the democrat way. Are we charmed yet?
