EXCLUSIVE--Palin Rips 'GOP High Roller Machine': 'Their Money Can’t Buy Elections Anymore'

Posted on 10/05/2013 9:08:33 AM PDT by servo1969

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin blasted the Republican establishment's contempt for and destructive behavior toward the Tea Party during the current budget showdown with the Obama administration.

Palin told Breitbart News that these establishment financiers cannot relate to the average American worker and are throwing a "fit" because Wall Street knows they are in a whole new ballgame where their influence is diminishing.

Palin was responding to an article by David Freilander in Thursday's Daily Beast in which prominent Republican establishment financiers showed disdain for the conservative grassroots while being unable to identify exactly what a "precinct captain" is.

Palin, who started her political career on the local level as an outsider before eventually challenging the GOP establishment in Alaska to become governor, said that the "GOP high roller machine can’t win elections with their cash anymore."

"If they could, all the money they threw at Romney would have paid off," Palin said, referring to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's inability to galvanize the blue-collar conservative base during the 2012 presidential election. "It’s the average American – the grassroots Tea Party patriot with enthusiasm and boots on the ground – who wins elections":

Right on Palin.

Thing is, while you’re messaging, how about a message to corporate America:

BRING BACK AMERICAN JOBS.

She just might go for that. Just saying.

Palin’s probably right. But then again, demographics are destiny and that means that the Tea Party types can’t win at a national level either. I sometimes wonder if Palin ever really takes the next step in her thinking. If she did, she’d realize that.

Ping to Sarah's Awesome List!

Does anyone still wonder why Sarah has made an Emmey of the GOP?

People like John Coyron (or whatever his name is) is in charge of the GOP Re Election Campaign.

Gee, I wonder who the Elites will support?

Sarah has helped the New Jersey tighten and soon the GOP will reap what they sown.

Discontent in their own party!

GO SARAH!

A Battle that the GOP-E is working hard to undermined us in.

Big Corporations and GOP love Deathcare, they get to unload their costs onto the Government and reap an even bigger profit.

You will often find the biggest pushers of Socialism are Big Business entities.

They develop an incestuous relationship with Government (that can only really happen when a government is large) and that is called Fascism.

Well then what should we do?

If the Tea Party can't win should we just throw in the GOP-E Big Government types.

The Democrats win there fore we would more like Democrats?

What kind of sense does that make?

Pluralities win elections. Rove doesn’t know how to mobilize the white vote, which is still enough to win if they can get them to the polls.

FWIW There is a deal on WOOT today, a KitchenAid mixer mrs p6 and I like. Actually she is getting the more powerful model for Christmas but she doesn’t know that.

In the comments on the WOOT page it is noted that the company is (still) located in NE Ohio where itt started, has recently expanded, hired more workers and brought some product and jobs back to the US.

Like it has been said here on this thread.

Money isn't everything and Money can't always buy elections.

The Colorado recall was started by one guy who borrowed money from his Grandma to start it.

One or a small group of people can make a difference.

Ted Cruz hasn’t ever won a “national” election. He won a statewide election.

I’m not suggesting surrender, I’m simply suggesting that something a lot more subtle than a Ted Cruz would be necessary to win at the national level. Ted Cruz is far too polarizing. He would bring out the opposition in droves. He scares the living crap out of the low information voters, (with the help of the Progressive MSM) and all they’ll be told is that Cruz will take away their food stamps, their unemployment checks and their Obama phones.

My point is her timing. The focus should be on Obama’s mean spiritedness in spending money to shut down monuments. ...not to mention the collapse of Obamcare websites. We don’t need Sarah making it all about her. If she wants to join the battle quit sniping from the sidelines and run for something Sarah.

You mean like how we snipe from the sidelines here on F.R.?

America isn't Sarah's to save, its ours, she can only help, but in the end success or failure isn't rested on Sarah running/not running for anything.

Well we might want to hammer out an agreement on who can be a member of this new GOP.

I am for Cruz and Palin most of all.

That said, I’m against their stand for doing nothing on healthcare. (I know that is not their actual stand, but they have no plan ready to go and passed, so that is in effect their plan)

While corporate America is busy laying off Americans and sending our jobs to China, I do NOT think it is a good idea to cling to that old way of doing things.

GOP get yourselves together and propose a real, actual competing plan. A real plan.

And corporate America: BRING BACK AMERICAN JOBS.

Palin and Cruz are by far the most inspiring candidates the GOP has fielded in an entire generation.

Don’t divide their support. If they’re going to oppose Obamacare then oppose it, but have something better to propose at the same time.

Just saying.

BULLSH*T "Demographics are destiny." Carl Rove said that, "Demography is destiny." NO, that is WRONG.

Demographics are pretense to assemble voting blocks and to divide people into interest groups that have zero reference to individuals. Demography is pretense. MORALITY is destiny.

Example? Romney lost because he was amoral, and on balance American conservatives were moral enough to turn away from him. Another example? The Western World became slave-free because its Judeo-Christian morality FORCED the end of slavery. Morality was destiny.

Want another example of how morality IS destiny? As Americans let themselves be bamboozled into leftists cheating their way into power so that government, rather than individuals, become fiscal arbiters of morality such as charity (welfare) and whether or not it should be "legal" to peacefully tell an openly homosexual person to go somewhere else for a youth group they can lead, or a bakery where they can buy a cake for their gay wedding, or an adoption agency where the "married" homosexual couple wants to adopt -- as long as you have government being the moral policeman that says all Americans must allow this or be punished, then we see America falling into moral decay.

MORALITY IS DESTINY. Demography is pretense. Wake up.

You have and exemplify a loser mindset. As long as people like YOU define the Republican party, which has been MY party since I first started voting in 1976, then I must face the fact that the Republican party has become a dead elephant and counterproductive, and that it's time to move on to a THIRD PARTY. I don't like it, but truth doesn't care whether I like it or not.

I would rather salvage and take over the Republican party, but as long as mindsets like yours and Romney's qualify as fit for the Republican party, then I MUST MOVE ON and seek another party. And so must America if it wants to regain and restore its freedom and morality.

You know, I am sick to death of hearing this kind of quisling crap. By all means, let's ditch a true leader like Ted Cruz and stick with the mild-mannered vanilla types who won't offend anyone---like Mitt Romney. Because he worked out SO WELL, didn't he? Yes...."subtlety" is what's needed when the Constitution is being trashed and the country destroyed. /s

We need a moderate voice who WON'T bring out the opposition, who will send us on to victory, as so many moderates have before. /s

No more support from me for your subtle, non-polarizing types. In times of great evil, great leadership is called for, and if you can't recognize Cruz as juat that, you have a problem.

How can Corporate America bring back jobs?

Government America - backed up by Lawyer America, EPA America, Tree-Hugger America and Minimum Wage America - won't let them make a profit by hiring in America.

Get rid of insane levels of regulation, high corporate taxation and arbitrary government and watch what happens.
