Republicans want to end the government shutdown, Texas Sen. John Cornyn said in Saturday's GOP address, but President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats refuse to debate an issue that is no long about anything more than politics, plain and simple.
The Democrats have calculated that by prolonging the shutdown, and maximizing the pain, they can bully Republicans into doing whatever President Obama and Majority Leader [Harry] Reid want them to do, said Cornyn. Its a very cynical game, but Democrats have decided to play it.

Indeed . . . Cornyn preferred to be charmed into doing the will of Obama and the Dems instead of being bullied in public.

Senator, you blithering idiot, this is not what politics looks like, this is what tyranny, repression, abuse and evil danger looks like.
He’s just mad that the “charm offensive” is on hiatus.

Why not? It's always worked before.

So why is Cornyn on The List of Senate RINOs who voted with Dingy against America and Cruz?

Shutdown death toll of citizens now 2: one shot in her vehicle, one immolated on the Mall in DC.
How important is it?
Cornyn you voted with Reid”s Dems for cloture and one of your office staff told me that you disagree with the tactics of Ted Cruz. If a good Tea Party candidate comes forth in the primary against you my vote goes to that candidate.

For what it's worth here's the response I got from him when I lam blasted him for his cloture vote!! Dear Mr. ______ Thank you for contacting me regarding the Continuing Resolution (CR) and defunding of Obamacare. I know how passionately Texans feel about this issue, and I appreciate the benefit of your comments. All Americans should be exempt from the onerous and costly provisions of Obamacare and the best way to do this is to repeal and defund the law in its entirety. Texans continue to share with me real-life examples of how this law is hurting businesses, killing jobs, and burdening individuals with costlier premiums. All Americans should receive relief from this law, so I was pleased when the House of Representatives chose to listen to the American people and sent the Senate a CR that funded the government and defunded Obamacare. Because of procedural rules in the Senate, the only way for Senators to vote yes or no on defunding Obamacare was to vote for cloture, thereby allowing a simple majority vote to defund Obamacare. Only five Senate Democrats were needed to defund Obamacare. However, Democrats continued to ignore the pleas of the American people and stripped the language that defunded Obamacare. I joined with all Republicans to vote against the final Senate CR that included funding for Obamacare. House Republicans continued to send reasonable packages to the Senate that would have funded the government but provided relief for Americans from this law, including bills that would have delayed Obamacare for a year, permanently repealed the Medical Device Tax, delayed Obamacares individual mandate, and required that Congressional members and staff live under the same rules as the American people. Senate Democrats rejected these reasonable compromises. On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, the U.S. government funding authority expired, resulting in a government shutdown. Unfortunately, this shutdown did not prevent the implementation of Obamacare and the health care exchanges opened as scheduled. At every opportunity to defund or repeal the law, I have voted in favor of doing so, and I will not waver in my opposition to this law. I appreciate having the opportunity to represent Texas in the United States Senate. Thank you for taking the time to contact me. Any HTML code in a post makes the paragraph breaks go away. If you want to use paragraphs and HTML code together, you will have to use two <br> tags in between each paragraph (written as <br><br>).

Don’t worry about the formatting. I received the same email from him as did many others on FR so we had our own copy to read. LOL

(The Sun will rise in the East in the morning and God is still on his throne.)
I would also add: Insanity. Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution talks of removing the president if, among other things, his “...inability to discharge the Powers and duties of said office...” This behavior is definitely not logical or sane. It goes on to say, “...the CONGRESS may by law provide for the case of removal...”. Does that mean both houses will collaborate on removal, or is it the same as impeachment: the House impeaches, the Senate convicts?
