Posted on 10/05/2013 1:52:31 PM PDT by Twotone
The Pacific Northwest is proposing to build three port facilities to export coal and other commodities. These projects will bring tens of millions of jobs to our region and employ thousands of people. Unfortunately, national anti-coal campaigns funded by climate change activists are trying to stop this investment. Governors Kitzhaber and Inslee are propping up President Obamas war on coal by insisting that the projects clear unprecedented regulatory hurdles. Climate change activists will be busing people in from all over the Pacific Northwest for a hearing on the Longview export facility, scheduled for Wednesday October 9th at 5pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, Washington.
The Millennium Terminal has been under review for 19 months already. To protect our economy, the state must commit to advancing trade investments and finalizing the review of these projects in a timely manner. The type of environmentalist over-regulation that destroyed Oregons timber industry is now being tried on Oregons port industry to stop coal and other natural resources.
If you would like to attend this hearing and express your support for these projects, you can RSVP here.
The link to where to RSVP didn’t come through, but if we have FReepers in the area, they might want to come.

Wonder what the union thugs think of this.
Unfortunately there are NIMBY’s - even on the right - who oppose these ports.
The unions are pro-jobs on this one. Of course, that puts them at odds with the Dems & the greenies.
Didn’t these environmentalist wackos get the memo? The gubmint is shut down. They’re not supposed to be doing any thinking or anything else right now.
Some idiot lib up the street, here in the Puget Sound Area, included me in some asinine mass emailing about this horse manure. I responded as follows:
“Nope. Couldn’t disagree more.
“The issue [evil coal] is never the real issue: the real issue is always the revolution. The cause [orcas] is never the real cause: the real cause is always the acquisition of power.”
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls our climates.
3. The earth is a rock.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
