U.S. Shutdown May Be Driving Traffic To 'Sugar Daddy' Sites
National Public Radio's All Tech Considered ^ | October 5, 2013 | Elise Hu

sugar daddy (noun): a well-to-do usually older man who supports or spends lavishly on a mistress, girlfriend, or boyfriend.

The government shutdown may have become a boon for one kind of online dating site — those that help users find sugar daddies.

SeekingArrangment.com, which bills itself as "the world's largest sugar daddy dating website," says it has seen a 50 percent jump in average daily sign-ups since last Sunday, just before congressional intransigence forced the federal government to stop fully functioning. WhatsYourPrice.com, which lets people bid for first dates, reports a similar increase — the average number of daily signups went from 500 to 900 since Sunday.

SeekingArrangement works like other dating sites, providing a platform for people to meet. For a fee, it provides background checks and verification of its users. But as a niche dating community, people go to SeekingArrangement for a certain kind of match — someone to help pay the bills.

"They come here to create mutually beneficial arrangements," says Jennifer Gwynn, the public relations manager for the site, which has been up and running since 2006 and boasts 2 million members. "Usually there is a financial allowance attached to [the pairings], around $3,000 a month," she says....

I'm not familiar with prostitution but my guess is that it's a lot cheaper than the "Sugar Daddy" site.

$3000 a month?
oy!

Good time to fake being rich. Turn it around on the gold
diggers. Most women sell it to the highest bidder anyway.
I mean it’s not like they have a supper ego or honor or
anything like that. But they are very good at exploiting
mens weakness. Well the ones that have what it takes anyway.
I guess Obama needs put out a bulletin saying the fat and
ugly women hardest hit. It was these types of antics that
got us thrown out of Eden a while back.

It’s the 99% of lazy government “workers” that make the other ones look bad.

“How is that different from prostitution?”

For one, they don’t actually sign a contract where she gets half of all his stuff if she decides to end the arrangement.

Isaiah 4:1

In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, “We will eat our own food and provide our own clothes; only let us be called by your name. Take away our disgrace!”

“How is that different from prostitution? “

At $3,000/month divided by 30 days, that would
be $100.00/day. So, I’d say it’s cheaper than
prostitution for the guy, even with some “extras”.

How is that different from prostitution?

More honesty-in-intent fornication (the conveniently forgotten sin of premarital sex), vs. a typical date / dinner at Red Lobster and deep glasses of wine, LOL.

Oh Good Lord. You couldn’t make this up!

Don’t you think the same ‘argument’ could be made about the number of people who have given up looking for work during a ridiculously-weak economic recovery, or workers who have had their hours cut by employers facing Obamacare mandates?

Nope — it’s all because of the evil, mean-spirited Republicans who shut down the government because they’re racists. And before that — the sequester. Another Republican scheme to undermine America.

One barf bag ain’t enough. Where’s my throw-up pot?

Just heard they’re going to discharge me this afternoon
and transfer me to a short-term rehab center.
Hoping to get physical therapy there so I can transfer
in and out of bed by myself, then I can go home.

Woo hoo!!

“How is that different from prostitution?”

How is wholesale different from retail?

How is a monthly lease different from a daily rental?

The site’s just saying out in the open what most women are looking for anyway. Just try to date a woman in your late 20s or 30s now. Once they find out you’re not earning 6 figures or more they’ll find some excuse to say they’re not interested in continuing the relationship. Most women are extremely materialistic and don’t seem to have any concept of, interest in, or belief in actual love.
