“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

The weapons we Fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contratry, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4

Congratulations to Boehner and the Repubs for lasting far longer than anyone imagined. Since the filibuster by Ted Cruz there is a new feeling in DC which has the establishment confused. How in the world are the Repubs holding the line when they are only known for caving over the past three decades. Most like myself never imagined they would make it 48 hours when they are about to pass an entire week. Every day they hold out and keep the subject on Nazicare is a day lower in popularity for the Premier who is barely holding forty percent and falling fast.

Undertaker Reid and the echo chamber claim that CommieCare is settled law and has been argued, passed and upheld by the SC. That is a lie. It has never been debated as it was shoved down the nation’s throat in the middle of the night once the Tea Party got Brown elected to give the Repubs their 41st vote. There was no debate as it was simply passed through the Congress and Senate when Obama was the Messiah and all the Repubs could do was gather enough moderate Dems together to stop Single Payer nationalized Healthcare. That was a step too far for the moderate Democrats which is when they came up with the HC Dictate.

Arguing Obamacare is a winner no matter how you frame it. The American people are not communists and they do not like to be dictated on what to buy and how to buy it. They fear an all powerful gummit who will control who gets a surgery and who doesn’t. There are far too many cases in histoir when there is favoritism for one group over another and that is not how America works. We are a country that has valued freedom for over two hundred years and in a mere five years we have had much of that freedom ripped away by some radical Marxists.

The first frightening problem with MarxCare is that it lowers competition and rates are dictated by the Feds. They also require that the few chosen insurance companies have to pay out so much of their premiums there is no way for them to make a profit. This gives no incentive to be in business and will soon quit the business allowing the Nationalized HC goal to be reached. In the meantime people no longer will have reliable cost effective coverage either in personal plans or group plans. This turns the HC industry into a trainwreck which will lead to hospitals being run like the Post Office. Stopping this disaster should be the goal of every freedom loving American.

The cost of the insurance is going to necessarily skyrocket since there are no longer going to be insurance companies competing for business. They are going to be chosen by the bueracrats who are completely corrupt and hostile to the insurance industry. These are the same Marxists who have fought against all the industries in America or basically capitalism. They believe they can run an economy better than the free market and now are showing what morons they truly are and can’t understand.

Obozo came out the other day and compared his monstrosity to an Apple phone saying that it is normal to have initial introductions to the market filled with glitches. They may have an unseen glitch but his apple is filled with worms. This completely exposes his absolute ignorance of how markets, let alone competitive phone markets work. They are never released without years of development and testing to make sure there are few if any bugs still left in the system. In addition these phones are built to fill a need identified in the market as opposed to the idiots who released this Frankenstein in complete disdain for what the market was asking for. They only cared that they would insure a few poor people insuring their votes to be paid for by the people who are losing the policies they like.

There is no possible way Apple would release a phone that all of their people refused to use or was too expensive. Could anybody imagine a company producing a product their own people would not use or even lobby the Congress to make sure they do not have to be covered by their own product? This is the difference between private and public. The private market finds a demand and fills it while the public sector simply forces its demands on people whether they like it or not through force. The private market is forced to make and price things people will choose, the public market makes their choices by force.

This plan is truly evil and open to all sorts of abuses and powers nobody even understands. It requires all Christian hospitals to ignore their beliefs and worship at the liberal holy sacrament of abortion. Not only will Pro-life Christians have to accept abortions in America they now have to pay for every abortion in this country. This is the dream of every Marxist to weaken and eventually put an end to the Christian faith. It is fine for them to be fundamental atheists, but they will never allow Christians to profess their faith since it is a threat to their power. At what point does the Christian church stand up and fight back as a solid voting force?

Slavecare may be law and was pushed through in the two years we had pure Marxism, but it has never been debated. Now that people know more about it and its weaknesses, Americans want another chance to decide once and for all about Obamacare. The people who are going to be paying for this monstrosity never had their voices heard and are now getting a chance. The Repubs have to hear from the people and give their side of this. The so called shutdown is an opportunity to debate the issue as well as expose the Dems for who and what they truly are. They are showing they are authoritarian tyrants who want to control and run every part of American life even though they are incompetent to do just that. If they ran Apple it would be bankrupt in a week since it would have products that did not work.

The longer this shutdown goes the worse it is for the Rodeo Clown. It puts him and his disaster healthcare on the front page every day and neither one is ready for scrutiny. The more the American people see either one of them the worse it is for both. He is not a leader but an angry, hatefilled man who is petty and knows he is not as bright as everyone gives him credit. None of those qualities are leadership skills and in this situation he needs the real skills and articulation to move his side forward. This is becoming more and more obvious to more Americans. Keep the shutdown going and watch him be exposed for who he really is outside the media filters.

Thank You House Repubs for doing what nobody thought you had the courage to do.

Pray America is Waking Up

For me this seems to be the only one worth watching, we will see how leaders lead and hold the line...

It’s just amazing to watch Cruz handle the progressive liberal media, communist reporters, and talking heads.

I guess the others don’t want to get slapped around like David Gregory last week, so they’re not having Cruz. Of course peter King is popular for having called Cruz whatever it was he called him.

Hopefully Steve King will be ok; I suspect Peter King will throw Cruz and R’s under the bus. Conryn is a question mark.

Debt ceiling needs to be pointed out by Cruz that it will be a constitutional crisis and most Americans don’t even know that it is Congress’ job to approve spending (not Senate, not President’s).

Question; when the government plans for a shutdown, who decides if an employee is essential or non-essential? Since the House has already voted 407-0 to pay the non-working government employees, I would think that if I were a government employee, I would request to classified as non-essential, so that I could get some paid time off that does not come out of my PTO bank.

Funding the non-working government payrollers is the worst decision Republicans can make. And we wonder why we are 17 Trillion (with a T) in debt? Really?

Candy is actually treating Lew the way we would expect her to treat a Republican. Interesting to watch.

He has a catch phrase: “if we don’t pay our bills, we are in default” and slides social security checks into this equation.

It seems like the outcome of a longterm shutdown (and I’m not saying this is gonna last much longer) would be that some congressional RINOs would be driven to change parties and become Demoviks.

And THAT would be a good thing because the Republican party might then be primed to become a growth industry with millions of Americans who don’t trust it today (to wit: my fellow evangelicals)likely to start migrating its way.

But unless the RINOs are driven out, I think the Republican enterprise is doomed to flicker like a dying flame—with the Tea Party brightening at each interval.

Bernard, I cannot answer that question.

All I know is that I'm not paid to loaf around at home. Must be nice.

It used to be that government employees were paid less than the private sector, but could expect better job stability, as private sector jobs are based on the whims of the marketplace and whether that company can sustain a profit. Government on the other hand, had less of our money, but would never close if the failed to make a profit, as they weren't setup to make a profit in the first place.

Now, government over taxes, way over spends, offers employees much better wages and benefits than the private sector, and all these government employees are politically vested in the party that made this happen (explains why Northern Virginia is turning a once solid Southern state of Virginia into another Maryland).

Since almost all government employees are bureaucrats and many are unionized, they have a thousand ways to put “pressure” on the rest of us to sustain their quite comfortable situations. In other words, we now work for them in the form of our tax dollars that pay their benefits and salaries, and any efforts to join TEA parties, fight back, etc., are met with bureaucratic government measures, like spending money they don't have to barricade open air public monuments...

Given all this, I would like to see this shutdown go on for a year or more. And when finally over, a Constitutional amendment written to prohibit government employees from unionizing, and set their wages to a level perpetually tied to 5% less than the marketplace equivalent job.

FOX's Wallace debates the severeness of the default.
FOX plays Obama and Obama's side multiple times,
and notes Obama is not negotiating.

Wallace corrects Lew twice on his attempted revision
of history.
Lew can only change the subject.

Wallace has done a good job.

When will anyone discuss and address that
the Dear Leader has closed the Oceans
and the Veterans' Monuments,
while leaving all US borders wide-open, even more.
He continues weaponizing al Qaeda,
weaking America and its (lost) freedom
while ignoring his indefensible abrogation
of the US Constitution.

The carnage continues only because of two reasons.
The US Congress is too busy with its image
and personal bank accounts (as they evade the Oath).
Second, the pandering, shameless MSM has as much regard
for investigative journalism and integrity,
as their undocumented impostor has for the maxim:
"Equal Justice Under the Law".

These two are heard from when the media needs a RINO to attack a conservative or support a democrat bill/plan/attack on a country to set up a Islamic regime...

Lately, after Obama screwed up and got smacked by Putin, they didn’t want McCain spouting off about it to keep that meme in the public mind, and they’ve had plenty of new RINOs to attack Ted Cruz, so why bother?

Also, Graham is beginning to see that the opposition to him in South Carolina might be his undoing. Time to “act and speak” like a conservative. Maybe his campaign manager told him not to go on any of the shows, as he would probably reveal his true self with his stupid RINO comments...

Rest assured they’ll be back on the Sunday shows when the democrat party officials posing as news media need them to poison the well again. At least McCain. Hopefully, they’ll be able to defeat Graham in SC, so he might not return...

It’s really only the discretionary budget that’s suppose to be in play here, based on my understanding of this. The “budget” is a minor percentage of the “spending,” most of which is mandatory.

If the government were to “shut down” in a literal sense, they would have to stop taking our withholding and all the rest of it—so there’s no real “shutdown.”

The monuments that are being “closed” are sort of a good reference point on how muddled this all is. Those monuments are no longer subject to the budget except where upkeep and maintenance might be needed. Places like the WWII and Vietnam memorials are ALREADY paid for.

The Park Police are budgeted independently. They are suppose to be “shut down” as near as I can tell, like most of the people at EPA are. The logic by which Park Police are paid to keep people AWAY from what are statues, if applied to EPA (which “protects” the environment) might be used to keep EPA people on salary to STOP people from swimming in the ocean or camping in the mountains or watching the sun set—since the government could claim province over the “environment” as it does the statues.

That’s right. And only Obama can put us into default. But what is “default” when you are already $16 trillion in the hole? To me, this is really a matter of semantics and accountant-speak and not very meaningful. Default? I say, go ahead, make my day.

Ted Cruz is speaking for both Houses now. To Candy - the House holding an increase in the debt ceiling to concessions on new spending by the Executive Branch is not new. It is the only leverage that Congress has against unlimited spending.

Why can’t Boehner take notes, memorize them, and repeat them when he actually goes on a ‘news’ show.

“Conversation.” It’s just a god awful word as it is used in political Washington, absolutely meaningless. It’s almost like, like, y’know, like, man, like, y’know?

It doesn’t even rise to the level of punctuation or guttural utterance. Y’know?

Reps. Peter King, R-N.Y.,

He just spews the same old Republican minority chestnut, we can only repeal it. The undercurrent argument is Obamacare will be just like the way we repealed welfare, Medicaid, Section 8, etc., when people saw how BAD those programs were...

Oh, wait.

$16 trillion of debt later the RINOs are sure that passive aggressive behavior is still the ONLY way to go.

Boehner has a tough job here, Ann...

I do give him credit for, so far, starting and sustaining the fight...

But the fight is based on public perception, and the media and democrats (same thing, actually) are DESPERATE to prove the mean ole Republicans want to starve babies and kill old people (or the other way around, I can never get that talking point straight!), and Boehner’s job is to look REASONABLE. So any crevasse or crack where the GOP looks unreasonable the media will exploit like the Colorado river carving out the Grand Canyon...

The stick in the media/dems/Obama’s eye is the huge debacle known as Obamacare that the Republicans are fighting them over, and the slowly snowballing perception of the public that it is indeed a debacle, and those that told them otherwise were the liars, not the TEA party.

There just may be a political transformation going on now (from the sheeple perspective), and Boehner’s job is to smile and look reasonable. As A RINO, it must KILL him not to cave (at least so far). Bu this time, let's encourage him to continue on the path he has taken...

I agree that Ted Cruz is brilliant, but in this case what’s amazing is the fact that there is FINALLY a Perfect Storm Conservative. Ted Cruz is just that, principled, deep abiding love for country, not afraid to place country above politics, and what makes this storm perfect-—a country that most desperately needs what he offers.

Ditto.
