Wallace starts asking two Repubs if Boehner should still be the Speaker but would he dare ask Demoviks if Harry Reid should still be Leader? The big media including Fox just isn’t even PRETENDING anymore.

The key thing about Cruz is that he fully understands the fundamental nature of the opposition - and his “allies”. His willingness to fight and to articulate basic American notions of limited government is something we’ve been looking for since Reagan.

The last little exchange showed Crowley's lockstep DNC allegiance when she threw the reporterette who asked Reid the question about the cancer kid under the bus. She would trash her colleague rather than any Dem.

Lot’s of folks need to read better...

Obviously, I do. I jumped the gun when I considered the possibility of a Ted Cruz - Peter King cage match. More scenes we'd like to see.

Thank you for the correction. I will be more careful next time.

It’ll be kind of weird not seeing George Will on ABC morning on sunday. We I was in college I always enjoyed watching This Week with David Brinkley and I remember seeing Will on there. Yes he is a bit of a inside the beltway type but sometimes he slaps down the lefty the way they should.

Cruz is steamrolling Crowley. She has her WH generated questions and talking points and he isn’t allowing her lies to stick. He is amazing.

Ugh. I missed it. Now I'm watching the flying monkeys tag-team King.

Hope to catch it on YouTube.

I think it would be like a Tyson fight back when he was moving on up. Cruz would TKO Peter the King in round 1 in about 19 seconds !

Peter the King would wake up biting the canvas and wondering what the hell happened!

Great piece bray. Like you I am amazed at what Boehner and the Republicans have been able to do.

Funny thing is if the dems keep trying to self-destruct by closing down stuff people really like unnecessarily, they just might steal defeat from the arms of victory.

As I said last week from my standpoint win lose or draw,we now have a recognized leader in Ted Cruz and to me he's the Ronald Reagan II we have been waiting for.I will never forget the 20 plus hours he spoke and many saw the light of a leader in his speech.

Sorry bray but I can't have you insulting rodeo clowns like that.(LOL)

The real rodeo clown donned an ozero mask and got a huge applause when he asked the crowd if they wanted to see the bull chase obama around for a while.Who wouldn't after getting bull-whipped for four years!!

We need more rodeo clowns not fewer.LOL!!

All this is not an insurmountable task. All it takes is a Republican congress and a Republican President with the guts to reinvent govt.

Not that difficult to do.

Most Anything in govt. can be defunded. You don't have to kill it just defund it.What if govt. had five million unfunded employees and two million that were funded,it could happen.

No no no!

The beneficiaries of this conflagration in Washington are a half-dozen Republican governors, according to Rove [lol], who can jump into the presidential fray after 2014 and claim they were not a part of the antics in Washington.

Rove may be right, to a certain exist. Regardless, both the Dems and the GOPelites have painted horns on Cruz and are continually trying to demonize him as the villain.

That may be counter productive for the conservatives, but the LIVs are another story. The villainizing was effective against Sarah Palin. Will it work against Cruz?

Debt ceiling needs to be pointed out by Cruz that it will be a constitutional crisis and most Americans don’t even know that it is Congress’ job to approve spending (not Senate, not President’s).

As if that isn't complicated enough very few understand the lies the WH clown's spews about "DEFAULTING" on HIS promises made of future payouts to his slackers, when the term default techinically means inability or refusal to pay T-Bill and Bond holders according to their written contract to lend money to the US.

One cannot have a DEFAULT on GFY 2014 giveaways when he does not have a single appropriation bill signed into law or a budget approved. But in the land of LIV he wins over and over and over. I fully support the GOP holding the line on the CR - although they have given plenty against the "I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE" negotiator - but Boner and the boys have already stated they will not allow "DEFAULT" so why should the opposition negotiate on anything?

We can't go into default unless we choose to. We pay $415 billion a year in debt servicing costs, but we receive $2.7 trillion in revenue annually.

What the clown and Piglosi want the LIV crowd to believe is that "DEFAULT" is not paying up on the promises of future giveaways to the crowd riding in the wagon, when he has no budget approved and not one single appropriation bill (out of 12 required) has been signed into law for GFY 2014.

Failure to get appropriations from the HOUSE on GFY 2014 LIBERAL DEARMS, IS NOT DEFAULT.

On closing the oceans, its being discussed big time.

I think Breitbart picked this up a few days ago and so far that thread is over 6,000 posts!

It's all happening right where I live.

What is going on is that the everglades Nat. Park, run by an obama psychophant Jonathan Jarvis-- director of all Nat.Parks have closed the 650 square miles of Fla. Bay to boaters/fishermen etc.

It's particularly tough this time of year. Our economy typically dives anywhere from 50-70% in Sept.,Oct.and Nov. so if we get a storm or stuff like this it all but shuts us down.

We need fishermen coming to the Keys. Our economy depends on it.

The fishermen come from all over the world. They stay in hotels/motels, hire boats, eat in restaurants, their wives spend money in the area shops, and the economy flourishes. But, it all starts with the ability to go fishing in the back,Everglades Nat. Park. Take that away and you just shut down a portion of our economy at the slowest time of the year, not good.

What is going on is that if boaters/captains going into the park get caught they usually get a warning the first time. The second time they will try and take the boat away.

Getting told we can't fish here or there is really nothing new down here. The feds have been doing it since the 70's on both sides of the Keys. And, it just gets worse every year.

this is the worst ever! Figures. It happens under the socialist administration of jarvis/obama. By the way Jarvis is screwing up all over the country from false info on oyster farming in Calif, just ask Dianne Feinstein, closing down parts of the Outer Banks for bird nesting, Mt. Rushmore cones, you name it his ugly hand is everywhere.

Ted Cruz to Candy Crowley: Use Debt Ceiling Vote to ‘Mitigate’ ObamaCare - CNN - 10/6/13

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh5PMEhvkVc

Published on Oct 6, 2013
10/6/13 - On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday morning, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued that provisions “mitigating” the Affordable Care Act should be attached to a vote to raise the debt ceiling, a sign that the Senator who helped engineer the current government shutdown over ObamaCare is willing to take the fight to the next level. “Number one, we should look for some signifiant structural plan to reduce government spending,” Cruz said in response to host Candy Crawley’s question about what he would seek in return for the raising of the debt limit. “Number two, we should avoid new taxes. Number three, we should look for ways to mitigate the harm from ObamaCare.”

This stopped Crowley. “You think that some facet of the president’s health care plan should be attached to an increase in the debt ceiling?”

“The debt ceiling historically has been among the best leverage that Congress has to rein in the executive,” Cruz replied. “There’s great historical precedent. Since 1978 we’ve raised the debt ceiling fifty-five times. A majority of those times, twenty-eight times, Congress has attached very specific and stringent requirements, many of the most significant spending restraints, things like Gramm Rudman [i.e. the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Balanced Budget Act], things like sequestration, came through the debt ceiling.”

“So the president’s demand, jack up the country’s credit card with no limits and no constraints, is not a reasonable one,” Cruz said.

The markets were back up on Friday after the Rodeo Clown tried to scare them. The markets would react positively to anything that looks like fiscal responsibility.

This is correct. This concept of “default” is just as political as the rest of it. Semantics. And, like I said elsewhere, when you are already $16 trillion in the hole what is “default” and why would it matter?

I have been checking our fed budget for fiscal year 2014 and it suggests that we will spend 4 trillion dollars yet only 600 billion will be borrowed. That means that we are now getting 85% of the revenue we need even with the govt. shut down!

This argument is over the other 15%!! If an average family had 15% of their income shut down they could still survive only tighten their belts a little not a lot 15% worth. The rats entire argument is pure bs.

You are absolutely correct.

Even when Bubba knew the govt. was due to shut down he planned for it and within a few days they actually negotiated with each other and the shutdown didn't last. There were no interruptions and few even realized that govt. was shut down.

Zero is doing all this crap on purpose. He wants to cause as much pain as possible. Just like he told all the park service people make it hurt, he's a true commie and hates America.

Most likely!

I think a lot of LIV women think politics is like raising kids—make them share, say sorry all ‘round, and talk it over. Winston Churchill once said, “Jaw-jaw is better than war-war.”

Still, I’d like to see some deployment of brass ones from the GOP at least once in awhile!

Above all, Republicans shouldn’t put up with the bias tricks of the Dem-Media but call them on it at the start of the interview, during the interview, and when finishing the interview. They should analyze each question, point out the bias, and then answer it the way it should have been asked. Cruz is a master of doing it this way.

I also think they should ALWAYS bring up, this week and as long as the shutdown goes on, Obama’s official statement that he WILL NOT negotiate. LIV women don’t like that. Hence Boehner’s talk of conversations.

Off topic of the Sunday shows, but a thought on the ‘news’ that both networks have cancelled their plans to make Hillary biopics.

Hillary must be very afraid of what might become known if film researchers start interviewing people connected to Hillary throughout her life. She has as much history to want buried as Obama had. She just has a whole generation more of contacts who might reveal her dark underside.

I'm really hoping that Cruz will have appeal on so may fronts he will be tough to beat.

He should take some Hispanic votes for our side. If the squishy middle has any brains at all why would they pick hillary over Ted? He already has a huge base with us and the other conservatives so I really don't see to much of a down side.

He is not likely to get many LIV votes anyway. It's still early to try and figure all this out.
