Ted Cruz - Intellect on Display - Cruz on CNN State of the Union
October 6, 2013 | Ralph Mitchell

On today's CNN State of the Union, Sen.Ted Cruz was simply "Intellect on Display" as he seemlessly won every debate point with host Candy Crowley. I say we support Ted Cruz all the way to the Presidency.

I would like to have seen the exchange, if for no other reason than to watch Crowley lose ten or forty pounds in fear-sweat.

Candy Crowley...sorry but with her it was no debate. Ted would have won if he hadn’t opened his mouth.

Heehee. I SHOULDN'T get so much joy from your snide remark! What does that say about me?

I’d rather have him on the Supreme Court where he can serve for decades.

Cruz is looking better by the day. Especially since Palin appears to have abandoned elective politics for the position of King Maker and I cannot fault her for that.

My only niggling worry is, the history of Senators and Representatives moving directly into the White Hut. It ain't that good. Even with a stopover as vice president.
Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, The Won in just the past fifty years.
Their records just are not that good.

I say we support Ted Cruz all the way to the Presidency.

Absolutely. In some ways, dare I say it, he's better than Reagan.

Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, The Won in just the past fifty years.

What do they have in common? They're all progressives. Their suckiness has little to do with their being Senators.

No worries. Cruz '16.

“Absolutely. In some ways, dare I say it, he’s better than Reagan.”

All due respect to all, Cruz has only talked,

Governor Walker has accomplished, Ronald Reagan accomplished.

Ted Cruz has not brought down any Iron Curtain and I’d vote for Cruz in a heartbeat but I’m still realistic not a swooning fanboy.

We as Americans need to avoid the cult of personality that takes over.

He can do one, then the other. Taft was Chief Justice.

Cruz isn't accomplished? He has single-handedly:

-Separated the Collaborators from the Good Guys.
-Lead the fight against Obamacare
-Put the fear of the Tea Party into the hearts of the Collaborators.
-Become the unofficial spokesman for, and representative of, the Republican Party.

Besides these accomplishments, he has successfully argued Supreme Court cases.

And he's only 42. Yes, 42.

Compare him to Reagan at the same age.

When Cruz hits age 76, we can then compare lifetime accomplishments.

That's what I'm thinking. He's only 42. He could be done with presidentin' by age 55.

I firmly believe that if it were not for Cruz - Obama would have been catered to by Boehner.

Absolutely. We're on the knife's edge, and Ted has brought us back from the brink.

I heard on the radio (sorry, I can't remember the source) that Boehner said that he couldn't fully fund the government, even if he wanted to, simply because he can't whip enough votes.

It seems reasonable to assume that Boehner decided to jump in front of the parade.

Ted's still going to have to fight the Collaborators every step of the way. I have no doubt that he will, and I'm confident that he can win.

He's thrashing McConnell, Boehner, Reid, Pelosi and Obama, almost single-handedly.

Oh Cruz has lead the fight against Obamacare single-handedly?

Gee, 19 senate votes compared to the Republican-controlled House that voted to defund it?? And voted against Obama care a number of time.

“Separated the Collaborators from the good guys” In the Senate.

“Put the fear of the Tea Party into the hearts of Collaborators”, In the Senate, if one is over the moon about Cruz’s speech, the House voted to outright defund Obamacare, we would be nowhere without the House.
