Recent recalls have worked wonders and we can still win..

They are getting more shrill daily, we must be doing something right!

If they are not listening to us and they are not, then I agree whole heartedly. Recall will surely get their attention.

I would love to.. It would be wonderful if the successful organizers of the latest contests would direct/instruct/teach, the rest of us how to do it with less mistakes, money, and time, and get this down to a science..

Colorado is now gathering petitions to recall Senator Evie Houdac. Third one is a charm!

Yes! Let’s do this. Now is the time. If we wait, we will have missed a golden opportunity. We can use the Left’s own words against them “Don’t let a crisis go to waste”! Carpe diem, fellow Americans!

Victor Head, organizer of the Giron recall, is doing exactly that.

Somebody please give me some basic information on a recall. I’m not aware of what is involved.

I don’t agree at all. The GOP in the House-—so far-—has done a HELLUVA job and all this would do would allow the media to spread the disinformation that “the people” oppose the shutdown. As long as they are doing things right, STAND with them. Now, senators such as McCain, go right ahead. But the wrong strategy entirely for the House guys. Why would you want to start a recall petition, for ex., against Jim Jordan or Ted Cruz?

Then vote them out in 2014 and ‘16.

The Constitution does not permit the recall of a U.S. Senator by anyone since the Constitution was amended to elect U.S. Senators by popular vote, instead of by state legislature. U.S. Senators are presently a virtual law unto themselves, which is reason enough by itself to change the laws to end such power with impunity.

As a general strategy this approach would be a waste of resources. For a recall to work a lot of factors have to flow seamlessly together in a perfect storm. The state law has to favor it. The political population has to be just right, mad and energized. There has to be a well funded, well lead effort on the ground. This strategy relies on the locals knowing the law, having a candidate to field and being energetic and aggressive and savvy enough to pull it off. For the 20 democracat senators up for reelection it would be a mistake to replace them and then have to run for reelection in 2014 too. There simply isn’t enough funding to do that. A better approach is to start finding suitable candidates now, help them get organized and start fundraising efforts. To run for a senate seat takes an average of $10 million dollars. A house seat takes approximately $1.5 million dollars.

Being ready, organized and funded for the 2014 election would be a strategy much more likely to lead to long term success.

I wish it were as easy as getting rid of a drunk dishwasher on a slow Monday night. Unfortunately, the Constitution doesn't allow for recalls of Reps and Senators.

A few days ago, there was a list of 18 House Republicans who indicated they’re no longer interested in representing conservatives.

Not sure some States have a recall method in their laws. This is a great idea and one way is to go to their town hall meetings, stand up, and give notice that we will start recall. Get help from the tea party.

At this point in time I would elect some of those out of work drunken dishwashers as better Reps and Senators, than these interlopers.. I am aware of the prohibitions against US Senators, but I didn't know about the Congresscritters.. Are you sure..

Maybe we should start a petition against that law..

You know what, Carlo—we have done it in the past—with very little money, and almost no organization.

Even Second Amendment Sisters marched against something called “The Million Mom March”—remember them? LOL!

It can be done—just needs someone to take tiger by the tail and start talking about it——then we would need someone with knowledge of how to do it, get all of the needed permits, etc.

If you build it, they will come———

Technically, as the states determine the means and methods of election to Congress. . . if state law allows recall of elected officials, then recall of a Congresscritter or Senator is Constitutional. . .
