Ted Cruz Is Unstoppable
Poletical.com ^ | October 1st, 2013 | T. Carter

Ted Cruz has worked his way up the Republican chain, almost from nowhere. He has made a lot of enemies along the way, there is no doubt about that. No Republican in recent history has managed to cause such controversy and ruffle so many feathers. This could be the type of Republican that the GOP needs to shake off a decade worth of decline and division. America's left-wing media lapdogs may think the Tea Party has faded from conservatism, but they couldn't be more wrong. The Tea Party and Ted Cruz could deliver one of the biggest defeats in Democratic history by uniting the party's factions.

As long as he continues to make the right enemies and ruffle the right feathers, this guy Cruz sounds more and more like someone I can vote for in 2016.

The RINOs are going to do to him the same thing they did to Palin: Sit back and let the Treason party attempt to destroy him so they can then prop up another RINO for POTUS.

This is exactly what the corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" does at its best.

I get it, well Walker did some of that in Wisconsin, I’m sure Palin did some of those things in Wisconsin. Walker definitely cut down on red tape to start businesses and on the self-employed in Wisconsin. So where has Cruz done any of the things you state? Obamacare still opened up its doors.

"Maybe the author has a different opinion on the span of time “recent” means."

I happen to like both Cruz and Palin a lot. It's pretty awesome that Sarah ruffles the feathers of the GOPe, but she has been doing that as a private citizen since she came onto the public national platform.

I completely respect Sarah and would gladly vote for her on any ballot.

However, what Cruz is doing is on an entirely different (and higher in my opinion) level than what she does. He is making all of this noise as a currently sitting US Senator. The amount of flack that he has to take from the democrats is one thing, but to have to continually receive it from fellow "republicans" is another.

Ted Cruz is the man we need these days in Washington. He turns on the lights and the roaches scatter.

I think, too, that the “Tea Party” name should be rather called the “American Tea Party”. It’s too easy for Obama to trivialize “tea” party and bastardize it by crude references to “tea baggers” - not so much if it’s called “American”.

I think you have stated it well, Cruz has shown leadership, leadership of the wants of the Tea Party and many other Republicans and Americans.

Mr. Cruz has been there NINE MONTHS bud. Most people barely have any impact on a new job at that point.

I don’t think the “pass any bills” things matters much to the American people. After all, we elected “Senator short-term” that really had no resume by my recollection and he had a record of voting “present.”

With that said, I will not discount the power of the media and GOP elite to destroy any candidate that threatens them. Unlike FReepers, most Americans are lazy and get their news from the MSM and they will never portray Cruz or any other conservative in a good light. Whoever our nominee is will likely be facing the inevitable first woman Presidency. We hear it all the time on this site - Benghazi will sink her, but do your own polling and ask people that don’t follow politics and they known nothing about it and probably don’t care.

Hope and pray that I am wrong, but I just don’t have that much faith left in the American people and our political process. We are bankrupting our nation and the math is impossible with people that demand what the politicians promised.

I'm not so sure about that. This is only anecdotal, but discussions with a number of otherwise conservative women have convinced me that one significant reason for their dislike of Palin is her beauty. I've heard far too many women dismiss her because of her looks; it's clear that they feel threatened by her, as she is the complete package beautiful: beautiful, charming, intelligent and persuasive.

"Ted Cruz has worked his way up the Republican chain, almost from nowhere. He has made a lot of enemies along the way, there is no doubt about that."

Right on! Moreover, the enemies Sen. Cruz has made are either traitors, gutless cowards, or both, including the fifth-column MSM political B&Ws.

Too bad we cannot replace the ass hats in the GOP that oppose his works for us. And if he is running for 2016 we will be getting some ignorant Republicans that will do as much damage at the communist Democrats in trying to trash him. Same ass hats that did Romney in by depicting he would do more damage than King Obama. Fools.

I do not note any bills he has passed,..

Precisely what we need.. More like him that feels more government is not what we need, be an obstructionist, stop everything and everything they can, until it squeaks in Washington..

If someone would just propose that the budget be cut 10% a year for 5 years and let the dust settle.. Find out what we really need to be funded by attrition..
