Netanyahu Responds to Abbas’s Praise of Hitler’s Mufti

Posted By David Bedein On October 7, 2013 @ 12:10 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 3 Comments

On January 4, 2013, Mahmoud Abbas, spoke via video link on a wide screen to the masses in Gaza, who gathered to celebrate the founding of Fatah (Arabic word for “conquest”),  otherwise known as the Palestine Liberation Organization.

In his New Year’s speech, Abbas spoke glowingly of the legacy of the Godfather of the PLO, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini, who during the 1920′s and 1930’s instigated pogroms against the Jews of Palestine and who during his residence in Nazi Germany actively plotted a Final Solution to be carried out once his German allies would win the war.

Abbas praised the Mufti as a man whose ways should be emulated by all Palestinian Arabs.

“We must remember the pioneers, the Grand Mufti of Palestine, Hajj Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini, as well as Ahmad Al-Shukeiri, the founder of the PLO,” Abbas said, according to a translation of the speech made by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

At the time, our agency asked Israeli President Shimon Peres and Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu for comment on the Mufti’s praise of Hitler’s ally. Since the Israeli government is on record as defining Abbas as a partner for peace, one would have expected a response which expressed horror and revulsion.

Instead, there was silence from the highest officials of the Israeli government.

Peres’s office said that there would be no response. Netanyahu’s office said that there would be a response, in due time.

Nine months after the Abbas praise of the Mufti, on Oct. 6, 2013, Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu chose the venue of a policy speech at Bar Ilan University to respond to the emulation lauded on the Mufti by Abbas and by the official curriculum of the Palestinian Authority.

Israel’s Prime Minister quoted the protocols of the Hitler-Mufti pact, presented as evidence against the Mufti in the Nuremberg war crimes trials. The records of the meeting between Hitler and the Mufti explicitly state that Hitler would exterminate the Jews in Europe, while the Mufti would enlist Nazi aid to exterminate Jews in Palestine, so as to establish a “JudenRein” state of Palestine.

To that end, the Mufti ensconced himself in Hitler’s bunker, from where he recruited an Islamic unit of the Waffen SS, which actively engaged in the mass murder of Jews, while issuing Arabic language appeals on Nazi radio that incited Moslems to join the Nazi cause and to prepare for mass murder of Jews in Palestine.

The Protocols of the Nuremberg trials concerning the Mufti were published in a 1946 book, titled “Mufti of Jerusalem,” authored by journalist Maurice Pearlman, who was appointed in 1948 by Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben Gurion, as the first director of the Israel Government Press Office.

Pearlman reported that the refusal of the British government to arrest the Mufti in Cairo caused the head of the Zionist revisionists in the United States at the time, Ben Zion Netanyahu, the late father of Israel’s current Prime Minister, to launch an unsuccessful campaign to push the US to demand the arrest of the Mufti in Cairo.

In his Bar Ilan speech, Netanyahu cited affidavits of senior SS prosecution witnesses who testified that the Mufti, working directly under Eichmann and Himmler, identified the Mufti’s instrumental role in making sure that millions of Jews were murdered, and not ransomed.

Netanyahu referred to the affidavit of one of Eichmann’s subordinates, SS Hampsturmfuerer Dieter Wisliceny, who appeared as a witness for the Nuremberg prosecution, where the Nazi officer testified that,

The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry for the Germans and had been the permanent collaborator and advisor of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of the plan…According to my opinion, the Grand Mufti, who had been in Berlin since 1941, played a role in the decision of the German government to exterminate the European Jews, the importance of which must not be disregarded, He had repeatedly suggested to the various authorities with who had been in contact, above all before Hitler, Ribbentrop and Himmler, the extermination of European Jewry. He considered this as a comfortable solution of the Palestinian problem. In his messages broadcast from Berlin, he surpassed us in anti-Jewish attacks. He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures…

Discussion of the Mufti’s role in the extermination of the Jews has been downplayed for years by Israeli officials, who were hesitant to attack the George Washington of the PLO. Perhaps that would spoil the moderate image of the PLO as a peace partner.

Now Israel’s Prime Minister has placed the Mufti’s legacy on the agenda.

A little known fact concerns the Mufti’s special relationship with a young relative in Cairo, to whom the Mufti would affectionately give the name “Yassir Arafat.” In December 1996, Haaretz interviewed Yassir Arafat’s younger brother and sister, who said that the Mufti performed the role of a surrogate father figure and mentor to the young Arafat.

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s erudite reference to the Mufti’s role in the mass murder of Jews in World War II was not lost on pundits who followed every word of his speech. After all, that mass murder of Jews is currently taught in Palestinian Authority schools in accordance with Abbas’s 1983 doctoral thesis at the University of Moscow, which concludes that the World Zionist Organization, not the Nazi party, was responsible for the destruction of European Jewry.

nazi emulation is the pigastinian and islamist way. Israel had better start figuring out how to eradicate this virus.

They have a way but it always gets thrown under the UN bus. We have seen the UN defend the terrorist position every time. The dirtbags at the UN want to keep this problem going because if it ends they will have to go back to their third world dumps and they will no longer get all the perks that our tax dollars pay for.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haji Muhammad Amin al-Husseini, actively collaborated with the Nazis in “The Final Solution” to Europe's Jews. When the Third Reich was put out of business, he fled to Egypt and was able to resist calls by the Yugoslavs to extradite him for war crimes. The Mufti was very active in the 1848-1949 war against Israel where he stirred up Arab venom against the new Jewish state.

The Arab's failure in the war to destroy Israel and the Jews was largely blamed on him by those lusting after his power in the Arab world. His power and authority began to erode. Other demigods arose across the Arab world in his place, notably Nasser in Egypt and Assad in Syria.

In 1972, the Mufti named his nephew, Yasser Arafat, as his successor — the Fatah wing of the PLO. Haji Muhammad Amin al-Husseini died in 1974, but his poisonous brew of Nazism and radical Islam remains virulent in the Arab world.

“A cordial man of great dignity”
That’s how Malcolm X described the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem in The Autobiography of Malcolm X:

“I seized the opportunity to run down into the lobby, to see it again before Dr. Azzam arrived. When I opened my door, just across the hall from me a man in some ceremonial dress, who obviously lived there, was also headed downstairs, surrounded by attendants. I followed them down, then through the lobby. Outside, a small caravan of automobiles was waiting. My neighbor appeared through the Jedda Palace Hotel’s front entrance and people rushed and crowded him, kissing his hand. I found out who he was: the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Later, in the hotel, I would have the opportunity to talk with him for about a half-hour. He was a cordial man of great dignity. He was well up on world affairs, and even the latest events in America...”

In 1964, when the book was written, there was no current Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. There was only one man alive at the time who had ever been the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, and that would be the notorious Mohammad Amin al-Husayni (often spelled Husseini). A notorious Nazi organizer and SS leader, he met with Hitler, Himmler and other Nazi leaders, organized and commanded the Bosnian SS, and did his utmost to kill Jews, whenever and wherever he found them.

When I tell people about the Muslim-Nazi connection, most are stunned. Haji Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini was a huge antisemitic and Nazi supporter. He knew the major Nazi leaders personally and Worked with Heinrich Himmler, head of the SS, to craft “The Final Solution” to the European “Jewish problem.” In 1943-1944, the grand Mufti and Himmler created the 13th Waffen SS Gebrigs Division “Handschar” [Sword] and 21st Waffen SS Gebrigs Division “Skanderbeg”. At together, the Grand Mufti recruited 44,000 Balkan Muslims — the 13th from Croatia and 21st from Albania. The 13th and 21st Waffen SS divisions were employed in anti-partisan operations in Yugoslavia. German Waffen SS officers were stunned by the savage atrocities committed on the Yugoslav population by their Muslim troops. As the Russians moved west, those Muslim troops not killed in battle threw away their Nazi uniforms and deserted.

Dean Acheson’s Promise

By OBSERVER
Recent reports from Damascus inform us of a secret agreement between the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem and the Syrian dictator Zayim.

On Aug. 28, 1946, Dean Acheson, then Undersecretary and Acting Secretary of State, announced that the State Dept. was preparing a White Paper on the activities of the ex-Mufti, comprised of documents seized in Germany by the Allied armies. The White Paper was not published. Mr. Acheson stepped out of the State Dept.; others there remained silent as to the promise of the ex-Secretary and obviously disavowed it. During the war in Palestine, State Dept. officials would not publishe the documents concerning the ex-Mufti; this failure to act was not explained.

It is now several months since Mr. Acheson has been back in the State Dept., this time as Secretary of State. Now, to fulfill the promise he made when Undersecretary, he does not need the consent of a superior in the department—he is the chief. He is therefore respectfully requested to release, as promised by him almost three years ago, a full account of the documents concerning the ex-Mufti seized in Germany.

If these documents prove that the ex-Mufti is a war criminal and a criminal against humanity, then holding them back casts a shadow on the silken curtain.

If a person must be tried at the place where he committed the crime the ex-Mufti ought to be brought to trial in Palestine where he and his henchmen in 1936-39 killed and wounded more than one thousand Jews from ambush and as many Arabs of rival families and a number of Britons, and from where, after hiding in a mosque, he fled in the garb of a woman to Syria. He ought to be tried in Syria where he was a spy on Mussolini’s payroll and from where he fled to Iraq.

He ought to be tried in Iraq, the state which he, by intrigue and bribe, brought into the war against the Allies at the critical time when Nazi troops were entering Greece, Crete and Egypt, and from where, the rebellion having been quashed, he fled to Iran, but not before he had 400 Jews assassinated in a pogrom in Bagdad. On July 2, 1941, the Investigating Committee appointed by a new Iraqi Government declared: “The causes of the outbursts are Nazi propaganda emanating from (1) the German Legation, (2) the Mufti of Jerusalem and his henchmen who followed him to Iraq.” Gen. Wavell’s price on his head ($100,000) is still valid. After hiding in the Japanese Legation in Iran, he fled to Rome. He ought to be brought to trial there: in his radio speeches from Italy he incited the Arabs to murder and cursed the American people.

Then to Germany, where he was the chief instigator of the annihilation of the Jews, a counselor of Himmler and Eichman, and a visitor of gas chambers. And to Yugoslavia where he, a British-Palestinian subject, formed the Bosnian Legion to fight the Allies. And to Hungary, from where, following his letter to the Hungarian Government, Jewish children were sent to Poland to be killed there; and to Romania, where he did the same thing; and to North Africa, where he helped organize troops against the American forces; and finally to the French zone in Germany where he was caught with the bags of gold he received from Hitler before the Führer reached the end of his rope.

* * *
Can it be that the documents seized at that time by the American Army in Germany exonerate the ex-Mufti? And to a degree that none of these trials should take place? Then they should certainly be made public to protect the good name of an innocent person, especially in view of the fact that he has embarked on new activity in Syria.

...When I tell people about the Muslim-Nazi connection, most are stunned...

I don't understand why they would be 'stunned' - this anti-semetism filtered through to the blacks in the US who converted to islam, after the example of Malcolm X, who converted to sunni islam in 1964 and met with the Mufti whom he described in glowing terms...

One of the reasons why the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was given a pass on being tried as a war criminal: OIL. The Brits who were very entrenched in the Middle East at the time wanted the oil. The Foreign Office didn’t want The Grand Mufti stirring up the local Muslims. And so, the Mufti was allowed to escape from custody and make his way to Egypt. There the Mufti set up shop and tried to complete the destruction of Israel and the Jews he’d started with his Nazi-Muslim alliance during WW2.

Far more than a collaborator, he was a supporter as early as 1933, raised two SS divisions, and was present at the Wannsee Conference, some say influential. Though I doubt Hitler cared much about the opinion of a middle eastern piece of middle eastern Muslim scum, he was someone to be used. Still, the connections between Arab terror are undeniable. Ironic that we all know about the Nazi refuges in South America, but little is written about the refuges in places like Egypt, and Syria where prominent Nazis lived openly and held government positions.

And then there's the change of Persia's name from Persia, which had been around for a few millennia, to Iran (Aryan) in 1935)

Anwar Sadat, a Nazi spy. Though motivated more by anti-British sentiment.

Realize that history is hardly taught at all in American schools. History that is taught has been massaged with an eye to PC. The Nazi-Muslim connection has been scrubbed by the Left. While there is a connection through the Black Muslims, the average American knows very little about what they believe. The average American has been dumbed down with “diversity” nonsense. When you tell them the truth, you usually get, “Really? I didn’t know that.” And then these same Americans flush the knowledge down the memory hole.

When I tell people about the Muslim-Nazi connection, most are stunned.

What do they say when you tell them that thousands of Muslims fought in Britain's Indian Army, in the Free French Forces, in the (this one's a little tricky) Soviet Red Army against Hitler and his allies? You do tell them that, don't you?

None of which were recruited by the mufti and motivated by their hatred of Judaeism, as were the muslim troops that fought for Hitler.

Yes, there were Muslims that fought with the Brits and the Free French and the Russians. In the case of the Brits, there were others including Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and Gurkhas to name a few.

Muslims fought for the Allies and Muslims fought for the Axis. In a war as huge as WW2 there were many peoples that allied both with the Axis and the Allies.

However, the Pan Arabist movement was a nationalist movement that was blooming in the Middle East in the 1920s and onward. This Pan Arabist nationalism became mixed in with Nazism and radical Islam. The Pan Arabist/Nazi/radical Muslim bond remains a very toxic brew in the Middle East to this very day.
