Iranians have used social media to mock Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, ... In an interview with BBC Persian TV Mr Netanyahu said that if Iranians were free they would wear blue jeans, and listen to Western music.
Hundreds of Iranians both in Iran and abroad reacted on social media sites.
Many posts showed mainly young Iranians wearing jeans and listening to Western music, some in comic poses.

More seriously ... Have the chattering class in Iran figured out that Israel's calculation says NO ISRAELIS WILL DIE but Iran will either be smothered in one large glass parking lot ...
No one chatters more than the chattering classes of Iran. They so much enjoy a controversy like this "blue jeans" comment, that it would be cruel to deprive them of it. I think there was a lot of worry about an Israeli strike back in 2004-2006, but the perceptions are that the threat has receeded. Fears of an immenent war do not seem to be so common now.
