Dont look now, but as Obamacares critics are focusing incessantly on the abortive rollout of the laws health-care exchanges, the Left is moving the goalposts in the broader debateand rather spectacularly, too.
New Yorks Jonathan Chait, meanwhile, chimed in with the rather amazing claim that it is trueand nobody has ever denied thisthat the hypothetical 25-year-old male will pay higher insurance premiums under Obamacare, and then proceeded to explain that this was a net positive because, over the course of ones life, the benefits one would reap from the system would outweigh the losses. Chait is,of course, entirely within his rights to argue this. But,again he is making a argument that is dramatically at odds with the one that Obama used to sell the law. Unless we are to conclude that words mean nothing in contemporary politics, this is a disaster.
Some alert and enterprising types have noticed that what was promised has not in fact come to pass. Republican House whip,Kevin McCarthy, has taken to reminding audiences that when we started this health-care debate, the president led with a very big promise to the American people: If you like the health care that you have, that you currently have, you can keep it. The Associated Press, coming better late than never to the world of fact-checking, observed in September:McCarthy is correct,Obama said exactly that. It was an empty promise, made repeatedly.
At the beginning of his big health-care speech in Maryland yesterday, the president told the crowd that,as regards the reforms that we are making to our health-care system, theres been a lot of things said,a lot of misinformation, a lot of confusion. He is right, of course. The debate has been mired in dishonesty and casuistry from the very start. And nobody has contributed to this with more enthusiasm and with a louder megaphone than Barack Obama himself.

Suuuure. All those benefits the young guy is paying for just sits in, oh what is it called? Oh yes, a sort of lock-box? Just compounding until he one day needs cancer treatment but finds he is too old to bother treating, because the money he put in was spent long ago. That should make all those young adults thrilled about paying much higher premiums than promised.
Oh, of course.
Just like Social Security.
THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS ALL JUST ONE BIG PYRAMID SCHEME THAT IS APPROACHING ITS FINAL STAGE.
It will become the equivalent of the draft in the 1960’s. It will start a revolution.
The ACA fiasco:
Compare it to going to buy a car.
The salesman says:
You MUST buy THIS car
and no other, even IF you dont NEED a car
Its the greatest car ever made
I dont know anything about the car
No one I KNOW, knows anything about the car
I have not looked under the hood
YOU cannot look under the hood
Everyone who has ever owned one hates it!
I cant tell you the price
If you dont buy this car, you will be breaking the law
A fine example of liberal "thinking", it doesn't work that way with insurance companies and it doesn't work that way with government. Liberals just can't get it in their heads, that there is no such thing as a "free" lunch and with government involved, that "free lunch" will cost at least quadruple what it should.
This column boils down to the simple statement that Obama lied. He continues to lie. He is a recreational liar. He is practicing taqiyya. He... but I don’t want to get carried away.
Yes. He’s a LIAR.
And the MSM locked arms with him and took that lie to the people.
For those of you not in the know, the AP stylebook dictates that when Obama lies, the term of art is ‘empty promise’.
People all across the board are seeing their premiums go up by 40, 50 60, 70 even 100 percent.
They could have received better coverage in the first by paying for a more extensive policy.
Now they're discovering that they're also upping the amount of the yearly deductible.
