A DOZEN OR SO RINO'S MAY BE READY TO VOTE FOR A 'CLEAN' CONTINUING RESOLUTION TO START FEDERAL MONEY FLOWING AGAIN AND FUND OBAMACARE....
That's the word from Republican Congressman Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania, one of the RINO's most vocal in his opposition to Ted Cruz's speaking marathon against Obamacare in the Senate and resistance to funding it in the House.
If so, there could be passage of more federal spending by a slim majority of the House.
This would give Speaker John Boehner and most of the rest of the RINO's in the House the opportunity to cast symbolic NO votes that would mean nothing since the resolution would pass.
Frankly, I think the show going on right now in Washington is the direct result of Ted Cruz taking the bull by the horns and leading the charge against Obamacare with his speaking marathon.
That forced Boehner and the House RINO's to stand up and put on a performance to oppose the spending plan.
For the RINO leaders, the challenge is finding a way to end the show with an act that will fool conservative grassroots voters back home.
What better way to do it than to get some RINO's to "take one for the team" and join the Democrats to pass the spending plan, while Boehner the other RINO's get to vote against it with dramatic conservative rhetoric and cheers from their RINOstream media supporters.
We shall see........
That's what I'd be saying ...
everybody better warn Boehner that he will be thrown out of office quicker than you can say Jack Robinson if this happens
waddaya’ mean gonn’a be ? ... the turkey’s done.
a bunch of them need to be thrown out on their asses
Some people have no conscience and would sell us out.
Dent appears to be one of the leaders of this group.
I think he has another 4 years, too.
We need to send a little communication to this Dent guy.
I believe he has said he is retiring next year. Oddly, if that is the case...he’s got nothing to lose except the GOP party.
To allow a vote to come to the floor (Pelosi has tried to ram one through; but even Peter King won't go along with that approach), Boehner would have to bring it and ignore the Hastert Rule. Of course, Hastert Rule is an inside the Beltway concept.
It would be seen as total capitulation if he does this. This shutdown is likely hurting the GOP, but slowly the blame is coming around to Obama. Regardless, sometimes principles have to trump expediency.
Just in time, right on cue, as the Dems are starting to waver-
By late Monday afternoon, nervous Senate Democrats had reached out to the White House to ensure they were on the same page and the concerns on Capitol Hill seemed to be alleviated after senior administration officials downplayed the idea of a short-term increase.
But the incident underscored the fear among the congressional Democratic leadership that President Barack Obama may eventually back away from the no-negotiation stance he and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) have voiced for weeks in order to avoid a first-ever default. And it raised questions about Senate Democrats next step in the debt ceiling debate if Republicans successfully filibuster a bill to increase the $16.7 trillion national debt ceiling.
Democrats began to raise concerns privately that the White House appeared to be softening its iron-clad position.
This is very disconcerting to us, a senior Senate Democratic leadership aide said on condition of anonymity, referring to comments by the presidents top economic adviser, Gene Sperling, at POLITICOS Playbook Breakfast on Monday. All along, the president and White House have been firm on what they want, both in a [government funding bill] and debt ceiling. So were concerned about this.
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said, What does short-term buy us? That buys us Thanksgiving in Washington.
Typical GOP, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!
Any fewer and those traitors will be "targeting" themselves for elimination.
The Dent story was posted overnight.
Here is the link:
Actually they would need 22 traitors AND for the Republican leadership to cave and allow a vote. The House is run like a dictatorship, it doesn't matter if the democrats got 200 Republican who would agree to vote with them. If the Speaker doesn't bring it to the floor for a vote, it doesn't happen. (there IS an obscure provision where the democrats could try to force a vote through a discharge petition, but that would be a long a convoluted process that could take a minimum of a month).
she needs to be held accountable
Hey, House RINOs, it all boils down to this:
The Silent Majority is what you call the TEA Party.
Deal with it.
The only thing that is new is THE NEW REPUBLICAN PARTY.
RINO Hunting Season begins 1-1-2014.
BTW, this 2014 RINO hunt has no bag limits, tents or caves - - -
Boner needs to force Reid to take up the bills sent to the Senate.
Spawned from the same breeding grounds as Arlen Spector.
It takes 218 to pass anything out of the House. Even with a dozen turn-coats and all 195 Democrats, they would have 207.
I would like to see an ad campaign to circumvent the socialist/fascist disinformation machine and educate the “lo-fo” (low information) voters. Start with “The People’s House is responsible for spending and we received a mandate in 2012 to bring fiscal integrity back to DC.”
The People are also opposed, at the least, to the bedlam being caused by the disorganized roll out of obammycare.
although we know it is a disaster, we have offered bills that would merely delay implementation while congress and the resident review all the special exemptions for big business and fat cats......”
or something like that. Most of the folks have not been paying attention and the MzsM propaganda is going unrefuted.
A dozen or so won’t work, the dems need exactly 22 Rino’s, providing all the dems vote in lock step.
