Skip to comments. After Months of Obstruction, Congress to Hear From Key IRS Official

Sarah Hall Ingram, the former commissioner of the IRS department tied to the inappropriate targeting of conservative nonprofits, and who is now running the IRS office responsible for implementing Obamacare, will finally testify before Congress this week, following repeated efforts to prevent Republicans from questioning her.
Although the Committee has requested several times that Ms. Ingram speak on the record about the operation implementation of ObamaCare, until this hearing, the IRS had refused to allow her to do so, committee chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) wrote in a letter to ranking member Elijah Cummings (D., Md.) on Monday. The letter was in response to last weeks request from Cummings for four additional witnesses at Wednesdays hearing (Ingram is currently scheduled as the only witness). A GOP aide says Democrats were probably trying to take the heat off of Ingram and dilute the focus of the hearing.
Issa rejected the request, noting that Republicans have been seeking to interview Ingram about the IRSs role in Obamacare implementation since July, when acting IRS commissioner Danny Werfel personally interceded, as Issa put it, to prevent Ingram from appearing before a committee hearing.

Nothing will come from this. They always get away with it.
For the record: My Comment 1 was sarcasm / irony.
None the less, it is true.
They needed time to get their talking points in order.
WTF! Subpoena this witch. Issa is too soft.
Issa is going to have to start filing criminal charges.
Find out what they are willing to say BEFORE offering immunity
Ingram is being set-up for perjury (due to testimony that will likely conflict with information given in secret by Lerner to Issa). Then Ingram will then make a deal with Issa for more information to stay out of jail.
Lather, rinse and repeat. Until you get to the top.
I don't share your pessimism. Just because we don't have back-room information doesn't mean there isn't progress.
To repeat - my comment 1 was (an obviously failed) attempt at sarcasm / irony, based on predictable previous posting from a HR band of the defeatist camp.
Sarcasm, satire, and irony seem to be the 'new' TRUTH these days.
This is a RICO conspiracy.
And the question for each of them is, do you want to go to prison for Barack Hussein Obama II and Valerie Jarret? Well, do you?
