President Obama’s Oct. 8 news conference on the federal shutdown and debt limit (what a putz)
Washington Post ^ | Octobe 8, 2013 | Barack Obama

................And I've continued to believe that Citizens United contributed to some of the problems we're having in Washington right now. You know, you have some ideological extremist who has a big bankroll, and they can entirely skew our politics.

And there are a whole bunch of members of Congress right now who privately will tell you, I know our positions are unreasonable, but we're scared that if we don't go along with the tea party agenda, or the -- some particularly extremist agenda, that we'll be challenged from the right. And the threats are very explicit. And so they toe the line. And that's part of why we've seen a breakdown of just normal routine business done here in Washington on behalf of the American people.

And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it. A big chunk of the Republican Party right now is -- are in gerrymandered districts where there's no competition and those folks are much more worried about a tea party challenger than they are about a general election where they've got to complete against a Democrat or go after independent votes. And in that environment, it's a lot harder for them to compromise.......

We're messing up "normal routine business done here in Washington."

It's about time.

So what is his implication here? That there should be no opposition? That in order to make the trains run on time, we need united, one-party rule?

Fundamentally Transforming America...into a perpetual one-party Soviet state. Just like Saul Alinsky, Frank Davis and Bill Ayres wanted.

You know the negotiations have failed before they start when the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut prefaces his remarks with references to “non-negotiable” elements of policy. The funding of Obamacare is one of those sacred cows.

And yet, that “sacred cow” is negatively affecting just about every facet of the economic outlook for this country today.

The Won talks about “responsibility”, yet he has shown no respect for the concept.

This doesn’t make any sense. Either way, in a Gerrymandered district, they’re gonna win...

It’s part and parcel of the overwhelming success of our First Black President (not including Willard) that his insanity is loved by the jaded and utterly corrupt American press.

I, I, I, me, me, me....

He’s accusing the “Tea Party Republicans” causing the problem by of not giving in, and in the next breath he says that he’s not giving in.

Boring!

Translation: As the Constitution intended, representatives are being elected to office by people who continue to cling to their guns and their Bibles, and I don’t like it one bit.

NO ONE respects this man, and he knows it.

This is priceless:

"....And all of you know it. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know because it's very explicit. You report on it....."

Was the MSM nodding their heads and pumping their fist?

Just had a note from a friend. He said that it’s been reputed that Putin has said that “negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. He tips over all the pieces, craps on the board, then struts around like he’s won the game.” Don’t know if it’s true, but it fits FUBO to a tee!

The crazy part of this is that people who are on the gov handouts are going to be the ones hurt in all this. Those that are self sufficient will see no disruption in their lives. Talk about beating those who vote for you.
Obama must not understand who the dems voting base are.

Good way of pushing people to Independents or Republican. Maybe we will have 5 parties now. As people see congress for who they are.

Many liberals still see this guy as a deity. But after five years he has never risen above the level of second-rate, partisan gasbag. Mass media protect Obama but history won't.

That's funny, when running back in 2008 he said of America's enemy's that he would sit down and " negotiate " with no pre conditions.
Wow, I am so happy that he's looking out for our best interests.... sarcasm.

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!”
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away
