U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) has reportedly been censured again by one of the states largest, most influential Republican party organizations.
Note we said Republican Party not Tea Party.
By a vote of 56-24, the Greenville (S.C.) County Republican reportedly voted to censure Graham this week. News of the censure was first reported by Jeff Quinton of The Quinton Report.
Obviously this wouldnt be the first time the liberal lawmaker has faced a rebuke from his own party. In fact Graham has been censured by county parties in Chesterfield and Fairfield already this year by overwhelming majorities. In previous years, hes been censured by Republicans in Charleston, Lexington and Greenville. In fact many more GOP groups would likely be adopting such resolutions were it not for prohibitions imposed by their leaders.
Graham is running for reelection in 2014. He faces three announced primary opponents social conservative attorney Richard Cash, S.C. Sen. Lee Bright (R-Spartanburg) and Charleston businesswoman Nancy Mace.
All senators that voted for cloture the other day should be censured.
A continual flow of bad news for the RINO Graham.
Can we recall Graham?
A continual flow of bad news for the RINO Graham.”
Yup. And I will be posting every single drip till this odious man is removed from power!
I’d rather he’d be censored.
How long before he pulls a Crist and jumps ship, while denouncing the Republican party?
Federal officeholders — i.e. senators and congressmen — cannot be recalled. This has been litigated both in federal court (Idaho, 1967) and state court (New Jersey, 2013).
“How long before he pulls a Crist and jumps ship, while denouncing the Republican party?”
He saw what happend to his “good friend” Arlen Specter. Denied either nomination and then removed from power.
When he finishes his course in Scottish Law.
One good thing is that it has shut him up for the most part.
Amazing how elections make it real hard from these clowns to be what they want to be.
McConnell is trying to fly below the RADAR too.
First Syria and then the Cruzade against Obamacare has destroyed Graham. He was all high and mighty and arrogant and now he’s nowhere to be found. For all his vaunted “war chest” he’s facing a populace that will likely remove him from power...and he can’t believe it!
That’s what you get for teaming up with Loser McCain. McCain gets to stay in office while you’ll be gone, as Brown is now gone, as Kelly Ayotte will be gone. He’s a parasite.
He will be re-elected by a huge margin.
This is huge. The Greenville Republican Party is the old good old boy party. This means Lindsey Graham will loose the primary. Maybe the party is changing.
Joe Carr to oust Lamar Alexander
Lee Bright to oust Lindsey Graham
PLEASE, Louie Gohmert, let me add your name as opposing Cornyn
Will we soon hear Arlen Specter’s advice to Lindy from the grave?
>>First Syria and then the Cruzade against Obamacare has destroyed Graham.
Last time, Graham went before the Mexican version of the KKK and called his own constituents ‘bigots’, promising to tell us to ‘just shut up’. He still got re-elected.
Sad to say, but SC has an open primary which means ALL the dhimmis vote in the republican primary (they usually don’t bother to run candidates for state-wide office). With the conservative vote split 3 ways so far, Grahamnesty will probably get the nomination again.
Set Linda free to become a star in the transgender follies.
IIRC, he was censured several times by several groups [probably the same ones] when he was running for reelection in 2008. They didn’t mean much then, and they probably don’t mean much now. He got 2 challengers, both of whom folded fairly easily.
Maybe, long shot, his 2014 challengers will be more sincere and serious and garner enough support to get him dumped. However, has anyone examined ‘them’ to make sure they aren’t plants to make a good showing and eventually end up giving Graham a win, after all?
Graham has been around long enough to have a lot of IOU’s from special interests, and he knows where bodies are buried. That makes him a powerful foe. Incumbency is always difficult to defeat — but it can be done.
The Hussein Hug worked out really well for Crist.
At one time, Linda was “dating” Laura Ingraham.
I always wondered if it was beard relationship for both...
——This means Lindsey Graham will loose the primary. ——
There are three contenders in opposition
Unless there is a conservative Secondary the vote will be split among non unifiable conservatives with single agenda focus
If that is a risk, I would hope the 3 opponents would come together at a GOP convention, have a debate and abide by the results of a vote of the convention and have two pull out and support the winner.
Priority is "out with Grahamnesty".
Graham would need over 50% to be the nominee. Otherwise there’s a runoff similar to Texas where the two top contenders go one on one. I would love for Graham to come in third, so he would be removed from power for all time. Otherwise, we can defeat him in a runoff.
Is it a single-party primary? Or do both parties hold their own primary elections? Do you know what the polling is? When’s the primary election? Thanks.
From what I understand, SC has an open primary. The parties have separate primaries but people can probably change their party ahead of time to vote in the other if they want to, then change it back.
The last polling I saw showed Graham at 42% popularity. So he’s under 50% already. And supposedly a fourth challenger is entering the race. So the more the merrier to drive Graham down, even if democrats change parties to protect and preserve him. And I think the primary is next June.
I’m in MA so I’m following this stuff at a distance.
