A new poll indicates more Americans blame Republicans for the partial government shutdown than blame Democrats,while the approval rating for lawmakers is appallingly low.
A poll released Wednesday by the Associated Press and GfK shows some 62 percent of more than 1,000 people surveyed said Republicans are to blame for the government shutdown that began last Tuesday, while about half of the respondents said the Democrats or U.S. President Barack Obama bore the greater share of responsibility.
Approval for members of Congress was all the way down to 5 percent.

Obama and the information ministry have one consistent theme - “hate white Republicans”.
I’m surprised it’s ONLY 62%.
And they probably polled only those that don’t even know how to spell constitution.
So let’s just do without a federal government if so many citizens are disgusted by it. We could go back to being a confederation of states. There are no united citizenry, no shared goals, no common set of moral principles, and no need to have this expensive, oppressive behemoth draining us of our God-given resources.
Is this what the Leftist press wants to accomplish with these cherry-picked polls of 1000 people out of a nation of 320 million?
Obama gets his lies out during the day. The sound bite gets replayed on the local news. It’s the last thing people see before they go to bed.
Thought of the day. If the polls all claim to show the public blaming Republicans then why did Obama drop the mess into Harry Reid’s lap?
I don’t doubt it.
Americans are not a thinking lot anymore.. they just reflexively nod in agreement to “media” accusations, no matter how outlandish, that all evil emanates from Republicans. With government school systems quashing anything related to critical thought, those skills are sadly lacking.

The fact is that right now the Republicans are the only ones making sense.
The budget has to be cut, and Obamacare defeated or we all go down on this sinking ship.

They are happy to mix solutions of primary colors until they get the hue they want and declare it to be some magical pipeline into the thoughts of 320 million highly diverse residents.
As always, these polls are reliant on those gullible, bored or desperate enough to answer a landline phone during the dinner hour and to share their thoughts with an unseen stranger. I wouldn’t trust these people to buy me a loaf of bread let alone make a political calculation.
Add to that, because of Cruz's brilliance, the 'pubs got out front of the Obamacare disaster and the dems are going to have to explain defending it.
Besides that, they were elected to defend and support the things they were elected to do.
It could be true. It would be indicative of the shallow thinking that put the Obamanation in office and, appallingly, re-elected him. The Republican stand is principled and, contrary to facile accusations, looks far beyond petty politics. At its core its a fight for the survival of the American identity.
Double down and let it ride.
Among the 62 percent who “blame” Republicans for the shut-down are some who think this is good.
That’s OK. I blame the republicans too.
If they hadn’t been such spineless weasels in congress the last 2 decades, spineless about budgets, debt limits, etc., and if we hadn’t run such rino-spineless candidates for the presidency, we wouldn’t be wondering if they aren’t just another incarnation of the liberal party.
So, yep, I blame ‘em.
The State Dept is authorized by the latest NDAA to use ANY media to try to influence “foreigners’” opinions of America, and it doesn’t matter if 99.9% of the people who hear the propaganda are Americans who will be influenced. As long as there’s the possibility of one foreigner hearing the “educational material”, it’s legal.
IOW, don’t believe anything coming from VOA.
