Veterans first fought America’s wars, then they fought the National Park Service over White House-ordered closures of war memorials because of the partial shutdown of the federal government.
Now they’re developing a response to President Obama’s “war” against them: A rally.
The Million Vet March on the Memorials will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. Eastern at the World War II memorial on the National Mall, the location where rangers under orders from the White House tried, unsuccessfully, to prevent vets from visiting in recent days.
The announcement said the group Special Operations Speaks is organizing the rally because the Obama administration “is using the government shutdown as an excuse to keep our veterans from acknowledging the debt owed to them and their predecessors.”

People can’t easily get to DC. We need rallies around the country if we want to make a real statement.

I like it. If Ocarter can open up the mall for ILLEGAL immigrants, on the logic that it is a “freedom of speech” event, then he can darn well do the same for a veterans rally.
Hopefully this financial stuff will be done by November, but why not aim for Veterans’ Day as well. Read last night that on THAT day all the national parks are supposed to open and free to veterans and their families. Think we’ll make it?

Also, isn’t that truckers’ protest this weekend, as well? Might make it challenging to get in and out of DC.

Yes, especially those people who are are 80+ years old, in wheel chairs, in poor health, and who, BTW, just happen to have survived storming the beach at Normandy or the battle in the Pacific. But I guess our cynical president knows this, so he isn’t too worried about them. Maybe a few million younger vets can get there and speak for them.

I smell a skunkworks sabotage operation.
Promise a Million Man rally on a few days notice. Then when only 15,000 show up, let the Press spin for days about what a failure it was and that Obama’s opposition is just a paper tiger.

Will our sorry Congressional RINOs do their usual kid gloves, “boys will be boys” approach to Obama’s numerous violations of the US Constitution, or will they FINALLY draw up The Articles of Impeachment for B. Hussein Obama?

It sounds great...we need action. Mark Levin is angry, but is right on in his views. We need strength, not rage. Raising our voices and much more, but if we are mad inside, it will weaken us and is! fhu.com has the cure to that...many military troopers are using it to great effect.

I just had a brainstorm. As part of the rally, get some respected retired senior military chaplains to hold outdoor services for veterans of their denominations.
All that Christian and Jewish praying should give Obama and his administration pounding migraines. Maybe dissolve a few of them into pools of slime or ashes.
Since there would likely be chaplains of different denominations, and it would not be under any official auspice, they could be as sectarian as they like.
The Catholics praying in one designated part of the rally, Anglicans in another, Baptists, Evangelicals, Jews, you name it.
All praying to God, not Obama.
I pray the mac daddy will not release his private army of thugs and that someone will be killed.

I like it, but I say they should go there and spend little or no money at all in DC if they can help it.
If that happens, it will likely be the trigger event for an AmRevII/CWII event.

Lets hope that the MSM pays attention to this and actually reports it somewhat accurately as it happens.
Maybe it should be an “armed” (symbolically, this time) march on DC with uniform-wearing, flag carrying “battalions” from every state.
