She’ll kill the middle-class to save it. If the poor and uneducated think things are bad now, wait a year.

If she wants to “boost inflation” all she has to do is get the BLS to stop lying and using voodoo statistical methodology.

Crap, inflation is really about 8% now. That’s not enough for these morons?

If inflation created jobs (someone must have put acid in this woman’s drinking water) then we’d have a job market on steroids right now.

My daughter moved from SF to Louisville a few years ago. She took a 50% cut in pay and....drum roll please....has more disposable income AND a mortgage payment on a little house that is 30% of the rent she paid for a 400 SQ FT apartment.

A real laugh? Her car title was moved to KY 4 years ago and the State of CA is still sending her letters demanding she pay for tags and registration. Liberals love dead voters so much, they should collect taxes from them.

Right, just give money to several more European electric car companies and send more money to Brazil so they can get their deep ocean oil field really humming along.

I've got kids like you....lol....good people, values, law abiding and all, but have bought the obamanation lock, stock and barrel.....we'll see how they stand as things get tougher and they see themselves working so hard and others just getting freebies, freebies, freebies....

one lesson I never wanted to believe and never told my children....that hard work doesn't always get you there....that there will be people who will smooze their way to the top and that unqualified people will be hired before them and promoted before them for no good reason....

...”Yellen’s supporters hope that she will double down on the portion of the Fed’s mandate,,,”

Tapering was backed off due to not enough cattle to pull the bailout wagon. Extortion-Care will be the forced work-camp whipping for their free ride bailout.

Let’s see...inflating the currency ala Zimbabwee will decrease unemployment?

That is, giving trillion$$$ to the super rich bankers will help the little people?

How, by raising the cost of food, fuel, etc beyond what the little people can afford?

Sounds like a real world version of “bleeding the patient until he recovers”.

Or like the saying, “The beatings will continue until morale improves.”

Stupid is, as stupid does.

Only a total moron (or an Obama voter) would fall for this kind of b.s.

I've never seen an administration as determined as this one to impoverish the nation's retirees.

“The Fed’s mandate is to serve all Americans,” Yellen said. “Too many Americans still can’t find jobs and worry how they’re going to pay their bills and provide for their families.”

Making everything more expensive will cure this how again?

The elderly who thought their careful savings would last them during their retirements better start stocking up on dog food. It will be in short supply with this idiot at the helm of the Fed. But she is The First Woman Fed Chief, another affirmative action hire for Obumbles, and that’s what matters. No doubt she’ll be the puppet and Obumbles will be pulling the strings, led by his inflated self-esteem that has no connection to experience.

Since half the population is now used to not working at all and the half willing have to pay for the half unwilling, why the heck does she even care about jobs? If the country has decided as a matter of policy to rely on only half the population as oarsmen, why would they want to disincentivize the willing to save? Government control and regulation begets only more until we end up where 1+1 wont even equal 2 anymore. This great thing we’ve had is over.....

Nobody repaying their student loans? There must be consequences, no?

Won’t the banks/Sallie Mae force either just take the money or otherwise force them into backruptcy?

“The socialist revolution can only succeed when the bourgeois (the Middle Class)are crushed between the twin grindstones of inflation and taxation

That really is happening. If they really wanted the “rich” to pay, they would tax actual wealth and not paychecks.

They claim this chick is a genius-—a keynsian genius. “Devaluation of the dollar”-—oh, yeah. Beranky already did that and she is smart enough to realize/admit it, I guess. What she’s admitting is that the inflation monster has been held back with phony book keeping about as long as it can be. Remember back in Jimmah’s day they hadn’t figgered out a way to lie about it yet? And I still remember that mortgage I had at 11-1/2%. Oh, the fun that is coming. They have always intended to pay down the Fed debt with wheelbarrow sized purty colored bills. Did you see the new 100 note-—looks like Eurotrash money?

In office a few days and already she’s a failure.
Inflation destroys everything, including jobs.
When prices go up, the value of money goes down, and makes the ‘economic indicators’ go up. But the numbers are bogus, because they are not in constant-value figures.

There is colossal stupidity on the part of economists and journalists. When dollars are worth less, the numbers go up. People with a brain know that the higher numbers are meaningless due to inflation. But economists, journalists, and other mental midgets start crowing about the rising numbers.

More Q$E? Wait a minute, its at 85 billion a month now, that’s a lot of printing money. That comes out to 10 bucks a day per every American. 300 a month. I still haven’t received any.

They say they are buying mortgage backed securities, well they can buy mine....one million dollars and they can buy it.

And now they are going to print MORE?.....

She's right to focus on jobs.

Unfortunately 30 years ago she was advocating free trade which is why we have such high unemployment today. Unless she has changed her tune, and I haven't seen anything to that effect, she will pump dollars without identifying or urging congress to correct the real problem.
