The White House is part of 'President's Park' and as such is administered by the National Park Service. If restaurateurs are being evicted from their location in Park Service facilities, shouldn't that be consistently applied to those who live and work in other Park Service facilities?
Shut it down!
Tell them to be sure to evict any poachers
THE WHITE HOUSE AND PRESIDENTS PARK
The White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, was originally constructed 1792-1800, the work of James Hoban. It was reconstructed in 1815 after being burned by British soldiers during the War of 1812. It has been the home of every president of the United States since John Adams. The exterior of the main structure, despite some additions and minor changes, remains much as it was in 1800. The interior has been completely renovated using the historic floor plan. It is significant for its Federal architecture, as a symbol of the presidency, and for the important decisions made within its walls over the years.
Throughout the years Presidentís Park has served many purposes from bosk to bivouac, from a field for infantry drills to a place for inaugural celebrations. With the White House as a back drop, Presidentís Park over time has played host to suffragettes, freedom riders, anti-war protestors, Easter egg rollers, and participants of festivities surrounding the lighting of the National Christmas Tree.

THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN AND YOUR NATIONAL PARKS: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Impact on parks due to government shutdown:
All 401 national parks all across the country will be closed affecting as many as 715,000 national park visitors each day the government remains shutdown.
More than 21,000 national park staff members will be furloughed meaning critical resource management, including important scientific monitoring to protect endangered species, will not happen.
Due to closures, planned field trips will be cancelled denying teachers and students across the country access to our nations largest open classrooms.
while you are at it, most of Nevada is government land (Atomic Energy, DoD, Indians, National Parks....). So close down Obama’s favorite western union stronghold, Nevada too.
Shut down the White Hut and send the Kenyan back to Indonesia!
AGREED !! ..SHUT IT ALL DOWN !!
Empty out the White House , and close it down !!
To not close down the White House would be " Arbitrary and Capricious " since the sequestration is the "Law of the Land"
Selective enforcement of Sequestration would be equal rights and equal justice denied !
ZERO has crossed the Rubicon ... now let him swim in it !!.. and hopefully he opens his mouth and swallows this time !
How about a congressional hearing on how the federal shutdown has impacted the life of the pres(id)ent; if the presidential wine steward is furloughed, or the three White House chefs, or the three bartenders or...
I think it would be quite appropriate for Congress to give the pres(id)ent a bill for services for all the non-essential personnel who are filling up the White House staff during this shutdown. Have Michelle go down to the kitchen and russel up some incredibly nutritious and healthy meals for the first family...
Make Zer0 eat his peas (and arugula).
Lay off first all those Islamic terrorism front group Muslim Brotherhood White House advisors Obama put on the payroll and send them far, far away from U.S. government.
Any candidate who promises to get rid of the entire National Park system and turn the parks over to the states, local governments or private parties has my vote.
There’s an idea. If any government employees are furloughed (without pay) all of them should be, ESPECIALLY the non-essential personnel who provide ‘perks’ for governors. And that includes the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, both elected and appointed.
Yeah, start out by shipping the anointed family off to a Motel 6.
