Conservatives will use the shutdown and Obamacare rollout embarrassments to push for delaying the law.
Conservative groups and their allies in Congress appear to be rallying around a new strategy to refocus budget negotiations on Obamacare, the original point of contention that led to the government shutdown thats is heading into its tenth day.
In a somewhat ironic development, support is growing on the right for a short-term debt-limit increase with relatively few strings attached. We should raise the debt, Heritage Action CEO Michael Needham told reporters Wednesday. My tactic is to focus on the [continuing resolution].

But first, Republicans need to shift the conversation back to Obamacare. They plan to highlight some of the more embarrassing ways the government has handled the shutdown preventing veterans from visiting the National World War II Memorial, forcing the closure of privately operated parks, and denying death benefits for veterans families.
This is the inevitable result of a government that is too big and too powerful, the aide says. The government has shown a vindictive willingness to misuse its power to gain political advantage, the American people be damned. Do you want these people involved in the most intimate decisions about your health care?.....

Not what I heard last night,What I heard was Republicans had signaled a deal to give Obama the raising of the debt limit with nothing attached, why would he give anything on Obamacare?
1) Imposing a 29 1/2 Work week on Americans is a Travesty. This should be hammered home at every opportunity.
2) Limiting small businesses to 49 is abomination to Americans.
3) Depriving tens of thousands of Americans there low cost health insurance will certainly anger them.
Stand upon principals, not technicalities.
If the CR is effective in stopping the incurrance of expense, we do not have to write cheques.
If we do not have to write cheques, we do not have to raise the debt ceiling.
Lets show people how big this shut down really is, and how much we need to raise the debt ceiling
I have a sense from reading a lot of articles and commentary (and knowing the slant of the sources) that this isn’t over yet - the hard left is trying to convince anyone who will listen that conservatives are in trouble. They’re busy trying to divide the new unity.
The GOP and House members (for the most part) are being very careful to not anger Tea Party members and constituents. The mood of the country has shifted since Cruz’s “speech,” the disastrous rollout of Obamacare, the nastiness of the president and the Senate Jester, the drip-drip of scandal (IRS/White House), the cost of govt healthcare website - death benefit back of hand and shutdown revenge of the president.
Everyone is anticipating and waiting for the next shoe to drop because there is no doubt there are many more coming.
So, today I am an optimist. Tomorrow maybe not. But today I am watching to see how the House plays the good cards they’ve been dealt.
Yes, highlight how 0bama has beat on people during the shutdown. Weave in scope of travesty and harm 0bama could cause by waving his Affordable Care Act stick. Remind people of the IRS Scandals, if needed.
Defund and discard 0bamacare. Embarrass 0bama over his personal refusal to register under his signature law!
Agreed, but I did not hear one Republican mention One word about Obamacare in this frenzy of meetings going on as we speak. The Tea Party is in the process of being sold out
